Im going to try and stay in better shape this winter and not let me self go and start all over in the spring. That being said that stuff gets cold and wet real quick. Ill probably hurt myself again

Do you know that they make things that are better suited for that stuff?

I have seen something like the ski bike at Kirkwood. Looks like it could be fun but you need a ride up hill.

For me at this point I just ordered some snow shoes.

Pedalling on packed dirt is enough exercise. Pedalling through a foot or more of snow is waaaay too much, no matter how fat the rubber. Thanks for not making me do that!

You also need to remember that you will still have to contend with an old, out-of-shape fat guy On most of your rides....

This is rjnutt just braaping through a tough section on our last ride. Hopefully at some point he will post his pics and I can do a ride report. Hint Hint

I like the idea of Clyde staying in shape. Gives us someone to pick up the bikes.

Just curious...which bike and how many miles on it? I'll have the same question when the time comes. My 2014 1190S has around 9K on the clock and I do 95% of the work myself but not valve jobs....screw that!

I'd be curious what the dealer would charge for that. I figure I've saved thousands of dollars over the 950 ownership.

I have a dependable and experienced KTM guy here in town Rips (just a few miles from my house actually). If you are open to traveling over the hill for the work that is.

He used to work for the local dealer but has for years now worked out of his home. He has worked on bikes for all in my ride group and for most in our local ride club. Built an engine for me years back. Very knowledgeable and specializes on KTM. He is also an extremely talented off road rider.

I am not sure of his current status with the virus and all that but I did see his dad recently in my office and he did not mention anything amiss with the shop (I don't get to spend much time talking to folks at work however).

Let me know if you want his contact info and I'll PM it to you.

Planning on moving to the Reno area next spring if we can find the right house.
I’ll be looking for good day rides in the area. I’m pretty experienced but getting, uh, oldish. Have an R1200GS that I don’t offroad much, rather take my DRZ with 150 mile range. May be a T7 in my future though.
Seeing lots of offroad stuff that gets me stoked. Reno area trails look like just what I’m looking for.
Any insight from you folks is very welcome....

If you find a house that's close to what you want, don't hesitate. Few houses available in the area and they go fast. Lots of good riding for the DRZ and the GS.

Yeah we are actively looking. Right now getting or SoCal house in order to sell come springtime.
Just not ready to buy yet. Hopefully the market won't go whack by then.
Our daughter lives in Reno and we are retiring so that's one reason for the move.
My selfish reasons are I've been here since 1951 and riding desert since 1965 and looking for new riding experiences...
