Hey @pHelix , what's that gravel loop off Loraine where we saw the bear?

Simonsen to BLM road is what I remember.

Don’t remember exactly, but it was somewhere in the network of BLM roads accessed via Simonsen or Battle Creek off of Territorial Hwy, Panther Creek off of Wolf Creek Rd, Deer Creek (20-6-11 on the Benchmark map) or Shaw Creek (#?) off of Siuslaw Rd.

@Midlife Rider, the above is my playground when I want to spend a couple hours stretching the legs on my own DRZ. I’d be happy to show you around sometime. Fling me a “conversation” and we can set something up.

No we're full here. Try WA or NorCal.

Thats funny bc I ride Battle/Panther/Wolf Creek daily. I have yet to see another rider since pHelix showed me the spot. Not a SINGLE rider. Your discouragement isnt helping the dual sport community.

I have the Oregon Benchmark and OHV maps and they are great for getting around the state but the best map for where I ride is still the one pHelix made for me and the ones I plotted using the Gaia GPS app. The benchmark is nice but huge and doesn't fit in my everyday pack and it doesn't know where all the gates are. Many trails it shows as open are actually blocked off.

Go to Loraine, wait for a bunch of straight pipe road cattle that rattles off towards CG. Then strafe 'em in the turns on the Loraine hwy, peel off onto a dirt road, wait for 'em to go by, then pull out and strafe 'em again. Check your mirrors to make sure they flipped you off, and keep going for awhile.
