Long, long time lurker, rare poster.

November 4th, 2017 I hung up my helmet after riding off and on for 40+ years. I've had a bike in the garage for the last 16 years. I was a daily commuter but really enjoyed the road trips. I carry so many wonderful memories of sights, smells, encounters and I visit those memories often.

After selling my bike I sat down and sobbed, hard, for about 45 minutes. IT WAS DIFFICULT. It's still difficult. I come to this forum to read the adventure stories and feel there are a few more rides I need to take. I kept my helmet. I kept my boots. I kept my gloves. I kept my jacket.

There is a non-traditional [not a franchise] motorcycle rental company nearby. I've started planning a trip ......

Planning and/or “dreaming” are the first steps to making your trip a reality.
Time to make new moto memories.

Reporting in from South Dakota. I posted a ride report a couple of years ago about my two years on the road from here to Ushuaia and rides closer to home after that. Wishing all my riding sisters happy travels.
