Yes. There are several users on the forum. They work great! I have the Bags Connection Engage on my 1190. It never leaves the bike. Gas fills are a breeze, it does not touch the tank, and it is very durable. The Engage is smaller than the other models, but I simply add luggage if I need more room

    Hi Rick,
    Thanks for the quick reply.
Have you got any pictures of it in position? I’m curious about the fit...

    Cheers

Be aware if you have bar risers that are tilted closer to the rider, an SW-Motech bag might not clear.

My City tank bag cleared with Touratech 25mm straight risers, but would not clear when I switched to Rox 1.75" risers, even when I looked at moving the mounting plate on the bag.

1290 SA S equipped with SW-Motech "GS" tank bag. Very happy with this bag on big Katie as I also was on my previous bikes, KTM 1290 SA T, Moto Guzzi Stelvio and Triumph Tiger 1050 SE:

My sw Motech bag is on its second base mount as the first mechanism jammed and once they jam cannot be fixed the second one has just started to jam! So out of warranty it’s a good bag but costly to fix if the gubbins fails
Used only occasionally so not thru overuse

I had the SW Motec City bag on my Super Tenere, it was a pretty nice tank bag and fits the sloping tanks on these bikes well. Once you get the hang of it installation is pretty easy, and it is held very securely. Now on my 1290 I have a GIVI tanklock, and I would rate it pretty much equal, I don’t think you could go wrong with either one.

I like the idea of this kind of quick disconnect of the bag compared to routing and running straps, but I don't like the standoff as shown with the pictured setup. I'd want the receptacle on the bag to be recessed within the bag enough so there's not such a large standoff from the tank like that.

    Anyone make something like that?

+1: couldn't even use the Micro with the Hard Parts risers on the 1190. Unfortunate, since I really like the setup on my 990SD.

Also, be aware that if you have the Scotts/BRP submount then the engage will not work either. I have an engage just sitting on my work bench if anybody would like it, for a small price. It does not have gas ring.

I’d be interested in it. I’m hoping it would fit my 16 1290SA

the KTM branded tank bag is a SW-Motech https://www.ktm-parts.com/60412919000.html

Its pretty good. It includes the tank ring in the price and you can always get other sw-motech evo bags down the road and swap them back and forth depending on what you are doing that day.

I use risers with this bag and the bars do touch the sides of the bag but just barely right as they hit the lock.

I have the engage and the "GS". I notice the bike is a little slower with the "GS" on. :D ...I have two sets of risers, and the bars squash into the bag a little at full lock. But it doesnt bother me. I have the electric bags. Nice to keep the phone charged ,or the jump pack. 20190719_112503.jpg 20180507_164942.jpg 20171222_102203.jpg
