My favorite bike build buddy is working on a custom 1974 Jawa. I've been helping him out with some fab work. Once it gets along a bit farther it will be coming back to my shop so I can build a few brackets and a rear fender rack. It's coming along nicely.

I had one like this, a 1957 allegedly. Guy had bust the gearbox and taken it up to his apartment on the 12 floor. Fun getting it back down in the lift.

Quite a nice bike and the spares were so cheap - about $15 for several gears, bearings and the selector plate.

Cool project. I am searching for a 48 to 54 Jawa 359 twin road bike. Any leads are appreciated.

in the mid 70s, there was a BSA Victor framed dirttrack engine with a norton gearbox. Did 130 mph down the straight of riverside raceway. Vance Breezes bike ran in the 500 gp class. Dont recall what engine was in it.

My first bike, about the same model as that one. I hdd to recork the clutch and do some surgery on the ignition, must have been 1971. I like the push in gearlever/ kickstart, not many like it.

I would have any Jawa but if I had my choice I think it would be one of these.
