Was thinking about checking out Lopburi since it is one of the easy 1/2 - 3/4 day trips from this area that I haven't been to yet. Going to head out around 9 - 9:30 ish from your neck of the woods and want to be home by 4 ish. If anyone else wants to go or has any other ideas for an easy day trip ( that is not Kao Yai) let me know.

Rode out to Lopburi today. Started a bit later then I wanted and it took longer then I thought it would. The ride itself was mostly highway and was not what I would call relaxing. The town was pretty neat and I'm glad I got to see it.

Any way here are some pics

Can any of you guys reccomend a good big bike mechanic in or around the city? I need to get the valves on the DR checked but Red Baron, Harley, and BMW said that they won't work on bikes they didn't sell and the only authorized Suzuki dealer said that he only works on the Hyabusa (are there really THAT many in the area?).

Any help would be appreceated and repaid with beer.

So I THINK I got the valve issue worked out on the DR and I want to go for a ride. Anyone in the Nonthaburi area want to ride to Pattaya to check out Bob's BBQ on Sunday morning? (suposed to be some of the best burgers in country)

Thinking about leaving around 8 and it should take 2 1/2 3 hrs to get there.

    Let me know.

About 50km south of Pitsanulok the VFR800 shyte her chain... [IMG]

Talk about fortune though- this happened in the middle of nowhere and within minutes a jolly old fellow shows up in his pickup and drives the VFR800 all the way to Pitsanulok for a mere 1000 Baht. In Pitsanulok we are lucky enough to find a big shop on Soi Sanambin (Airport Road) that has a 530 chain in stock and they install it in about 15 minutes. Job done, Ride On!

    Tony,

So did Frank keep the bike from going underneath a bus tthis trip? How did the repair on his R1 go and what did he do about his gorgeous custom radiator?

Any of you SSR boys coming up to CNX for the get together at Franz's on the 24th?
