Loaded a rout to try this weekend. Gotta wait for the water levels to drop. I've had to turn around already this year with bridges under water. Route starts and ends in Perth but you could adjust it to suit. Includes some of the Calabogie Boogie and other stuff I've already done. Road gravel mix about 5 hours. I'll let ya know how it goes and I'll look for some trail along the way. Ran up that way last week and the paved roads are still buried in sand and salt. Cheers

I've ridden all those roads except the short stretch of Cross Road north of Crow Lake this year and none of it was problematic. A little sandy, yes, but eminently rideable.

The herds of sport bikes in Calabogie area weren't getting to do the "Rossi" on any of the curves last week end. The blocked road I think was Kennelly Mt.Rd. North off #65 near Calabogie. There's a low single lane bridge that was under water. The others are un-maintained roads. They'd taken a beating from the water so I didn't chance finding a bike sized wash out. I'm stealing your "Eminently Rideable" comment for the next time we 're out and someone asks about the road. It's vague and unassuring. I like that. Cheers

Any updates on the blackflys locally? They seem to be letting up close to the lake. Was hoping to get out on the trials bike this weekend but I may have to wait.

They're out here at my place. Not as bad as last year, which was the worst we'd seen in our time here.

I just rode home at 2100, and my windshield is plastered with bugs, and it was clean when I was in town. I suspect up at your cabin you're gonna want to have a net over your helmet still.

Riding this Sunday leaving Odessa at the gas station 9:00 heading northwest. Haven't been out much lately so it will be an easy ride. Trails are wet an bugs are nasty so be prepared.

I'd join you, but I just loaded the bikes in the trailer to leave for northern NB in the wee hours. One of these times...

Hi. In Belleville. Always looking for other riders with similar interests. Enjoy the tough trails, technical, single track, water crossings, hydro lines etc. The lesser the paved/gravel car roads the better. Usually head north to Madoc then St Ola Bancroft. Licensed motorcycle mechanic too. Have done RRCE in May- lots of fun but too much highway. Hard core riders let me know and let's go have some mud fun!

We should get together for another ride, I sold the DRZ but I still have a Vstrom. Currently it only has street tires so it will need to be easy riding ;) Actually pretty sure i saw you out for a ride on Sunday, heading towards Tamworth! I was on my Vstrom.
