Big Thanks to all of you who showed for Sync The Planet ride for the last 6 years. It was great to ride with you all. Wishing you all the best in the future. That was my last group ride and video! Adios Amigos

I'm off the first two weeks in September. We should go for a tour back north. I have a trailer at Brown's on the north end of Mazinaw Lake. Good place to depart from.

With six inches of snow forecast for tomorrow it was time for one 'last' ride - a nice long Loop loop.
Empty roads, not too many dodgy patches, nice cool temperatures, bike running well - perfect.
There'll be riding days yet. Only the rider needs to winterize, the bikes are fine.

You're an inspiration Nick. My Strom is in having the shop having its valves checked, or I might also be out riding...

    This was last week.

Attachment didn't work Mike - but I have no doubt you were out riding. My guess is the Stroms valves will be at factory spec. I don't think those bikes know what wear is. It's bound to clear up again before Christmas. Perhaps we can meet for lunch again before the year is out.

So does one have to be a site supporter to add photos now? I can do so with the phone app, but then I don't 'have permission to view the attachment".

Let's try adding it to the web page version. Didn't work.

This one is online so I only need to add the URL.

And I hope you're right about the valves on the Strom. I'd like to have an inexpensive bike for a change, after a lifetime of Ducatis and BMWs.

Would be great to have another Christmas Eve ride to lunch somewhere!

Nice bike, and the Narrows is always pleasant (especially if the toilets are open :rofl). Keep in touch and if the weather obliges.... Wheelers is also open 365. :D.

Forseti and I got out for a rip yesterday as well. Some icy patches in the woods, but nothing bad. Wandered up Meyers Cave rd, then across and down.

Went to go out today, but only made it down to Yarker, stoopit township didn't bother working on the roads this morning.

Bathrooms at locks are all closed now, but there is an outhouse in Murphy's Point / Lally road. You're probably not excited about it but Lally is chip and tar the whole way now. Makes it better for Stephanie when she takes her R3 through there.

Haven't been to Wheelers yet this year. Great idea!

I was by Wheelers week before last, and it looked closed. But since you just mentioned it, Google says it's open every day 0900-1500. I'll have to check back. :D

Anyone with good sense of humor and or a health supply of patients willing to ride with a 56 year old who just picked up his first bike (DR650) the day before our first snowfall of the season last week?
I am in the Battersea Inverary area.

It's been ages since I've been on a bike. First my niece came over and we were hiking all the time. Then we had six inches of snow which lasted until yesterday. Then I got a beastly cold which has had me confined to my bed and chair for a week (proper man-cold!). I just went outside to check the weather. The temperature has risen to about 3c but, to my cold-ridden body, it felt like diving in to cold water. Nevertheless................
