started out with a cool 39 degrees picking up the MABDR which would be followed to the VA state line. The first day was a 300 mile ride ending in Marion VA.

Many twisties along the way dirt, gravel, and slab some of the tightest turns we had ever rode. The tail of the dragon has nothing on some of the backroads. The jeep you see was left by some dumb ^#% in the middle of a forest road. Bike in the tree was the only mishap of the day.

The amount of dirt sweepers we rode was plentiful. And we even boiled the brakes on a KLR650 power sliding in the turns. In one day I’m estimating we covered 10x the amount of turns as the tail of the dragon which we had in planned on riding while in the area. Another 190 treked from ashville to Tellico plains TN.

Kyle at the farmhouse inn put the Damascus Augusta trail together along with many others in the Eastern TN mountains. We rode 141 miles seeing some really cool things along the way. Midday the bite of the dragon struck and one of our riders broke a ankle on a water crossing. Like a champ he hopped back on and we rode straight to Knoxville. With no stability on the left he dropped the bike at a stoplight in the middle of a busy intersection. He powered thru and I rode beside him and at stoplights I would grab his tailbag to keep him upright. 8142601A-3856-4CCA-848B-43D5CB28F896.jpeg

We covered just under 1k miles in 4 days of riding the best forest service and backroads VA, NC, and TN have to offer.

Heated grips are awesome until they twist and stop the clutch from working. Luckily it was at the bottom of the mountain and not the top.

To bad about the broken ankle.
Looks like you have the same thoughts about the dragon as I.

9 hours of go pro footage, 1 hour of drone footage, 1 hour of camcorder, and hundreds of pictures crammed into 11 minutes. Hard time coming up with a ride name. Southeastern adventure ride seemed fitting
