Upon further review........wife's birthday on 30th probably shouldn't be gone all weekend.

I rode out there yesterday. I didn't see a Billy Bob sign as I approached the area. There is one, but it faces the road, so you don't see it until it's upon you.
There is the Eight mile sign you can look for. Billy Bob is opposite that, on the south.

Tempting...to stick around this cold NW just a bit longer?
    Bring your warm bag, Hells.
New jobs are always OK for a year or so,...until you get to know everyone...
Hope you can squeeze in a long weekend!
We'll get what you can give, Chris, and take what we can get.
Looks like you'll have important spares for riding and camping.
I will look forward to meeting more locals this year. What a great place to live, eh?
Are you near the Mt Hood Community?
n00b is spelled with double "00"s in the middle, ya n00b....Oh yeah, I mean, welome n00b! I'll look forward to seeing your bottle on the community bar.
Don't forget it gets cold out here at night, so expect freezing nights to go with perfect days.
Thanks for mentioning that, MM. I revised the first post to add mileage to/from Hwys 197/35.
The Billy Bob SnoPark is 12 miles West of Dufur and another mile to Hwy 197. BBSP is 11 miles East of Hwy 35. It's close to everywhere 1000 feet off FS44, a 2-lane paved forest road.

I might be able to make it. If so I'll haul my DR650 on my carrier and can bring firewood or whatever in the back of my truck. I may not make it til Friday afternoon though.

Another n00b in for this ride - self support on a big bike, will make sure there is a bottle stuffed in there somewhere. Will be heading out of PDX and headed over LoLo pass for some pre-avr fun. Will post departure details as we get closer if others want to join.

I live on Cherryville Dr. off US26 about 10 minutes east of Sandy. I have a group of guys I ride with up here and have been running a dual sport youtube motovlog channel for a few years, but never really got on advrider much. I had a friend Juanita Wilber tell me about your event last year, but couldn't make it. Looking like it might be hard to make this year as well, but gonna try to make maybe at least a day happen! Would like to hook up with some more local Hood and PDX people for some rides though :)

Seen your video's the last few years Ness, lots of good stuff there. I wuz wondering if you were on Advrider, under some other pseudonym. AJ's event is a great way to meet lots of local riders, as is following some of the other threads under this forum. The Riding Around The Hood thread is a good one for a Sandy boy.

You guys still racing those mini-motorcross bikes or whatever the hell you call them?

I'm a n00b but wanted to do this for a couple of years... I'm working on getting there on Friday. Might bring a 1-2 n00bs with me. I understand that bacon, whisky and firewood should be on my list...
