Hey Toddy, we're rolling your way. Should hit DC this evening.

Thanks to Dennis for trying to coordinate the fork seals for Fastlane. He's rigged a field repair that looks like it will get him by for now. He'll just have to take it slow. Appreciate the help.

Bummer, JB. I hope all's ok. The plan was to leave Dawson a smoking hulk in the rear view mirror but in your honor we'll leave it in decent shape for next year's ride. :thumb

Greetings northern riders. Update from Dawson City, weather is mid seventies with scattered afternoon showers. Trip over Denali and over the top yesterday was magnificant. We're measuring the rate of burn (ROB) of our knobbies in mm/hr though. Many have remarked the road is in the best shape ever. The rain has kept the dust bearable and the grading has made it baby ass smooth. Very good roostage.

Gusgus and Friar have headed north. Fastlane, Ace, Hackymoto, Fighter and myself are close behind. Eagle Plain tonight, Inuvik tomorrow and back to DC for the D2D party on Thursday.....Friday, Sat.

Ride safe, watch out for the RVs on the road from Chicken to the border. The are very very wide!!!! Don't cut those cornors. :eek1 :eek1

Well, thanks to all of the Gruvers, and to Dawson's Downtown Dick, Gus and gus are running back to the Homested, Happy and fully worn out. Chicken has been nice enough to have this internet connection, so we can send our thanks early.
We have met so many and found lots of new friends.
    See you all next year.

Thanks for putting on a great event, I had a blast!

Special thanks to all the Gruvers for making me feel welcome, Downtown Dick for the hospitality, Fighter for the organization, and the biker chicks for the entertainment!

Anybody up for McCarthy in July?

I think that this was you-

right in front of us on the ferry back.

And I think McCarthy would be cool, never having been there before. It would have to be strictly a weekend deal for me, I highly doubt I could wangle any time off in July. But as far as I know I'm open!

15-17 should work for me...can't ride to Laguna so I might as well ride somewhere cool when I get back.
I don't want to clutter up the Dempster thread...perhaps we should move this discussion to a new thread?
