Glad you like the Protapers. I'm going to put some on the Cagive when I get a chance. Had a break in last night at the shop around midnight, fuckers ripped open the center of one door and tore a window casing out thinking they could get in front building. The window torn out has a wall behind it. I laughed for about 10 minutes thinking about all the work they did just to find a sheet of T111 behind the wall. They did get in to the back building and thankfully, no tires were missing. That would have really pissed me off. Now to clean up the glass and wood and find a new door and all on Memorial Day. Any carpenters out there willing to work on this lovely holiday? Barb

    That (frankly) sucks!!

    :mrskbasa

Did the jerks get you for anything? I mean,, other than the repair time?

I do wish I could be there and help, but a carpenter, I'm not. And time to do it,, I actually don't have. That too sucks.

Have a happy Mem day Barb. I will keep a good thought for you.

Bummer Barb. A carpenter I am not but I can cuss pretty good and point real well if that helps. I'll trot by this afternoon just in case you're working on it and can use those skills.

T1-11 blocking off doorways? This like the Winchester Mystery shop and the voices told you it oughta be that way?

It's in the cards. An Arctic adventure awaits Gusgus.

Did some special figuring and an ample amount of voodoo economics, and found a way to keep the creditors off my ass, so I can do this.

    It aint all that bad.

I am so excited, now I just need to syncronize with all the Dashers and get her done ! ! !

Missing the Denali Highway crossing, though. No Gracious House stay, but will be in Tok, Sunday night and Dawson Monday night.

I will be leaving my bride there in Dawson City while I ride along with the Gruvers, North. What a kick this will be, Hot Damn!!

    How about that Inuvik connection?:ear
Time is running short, and I already found a negative room condition in Dawson. I managed to secure a room in 2 separate places, But Inuvik might be tougher since the Petroleum convention is syncronized with our arrival time.

Lets RIDE!!!!!!!:ricky :super :jinx :jump :ricky :rabia :ricky

    Up date about Inuvik.......

I have contacted every listed place to stay. No rooms exist as of right now.

I guess camping is the only option (at this time).

Any other ideas about the housing crunch?

Friar hows about that tire machine? Can I help in any way to get it in service?

    D2D prep information,,,

I have a simple cabin in Big Lake for anyone needing lodging for any amount of time. It is of course, a first come situation and costs 25 dollars per night.

I can be contacted through this site or emailed at themood@mtaonline.net

At this time it is open without any reservations. Last night the last guest left.

Same goes Gruvers, you can pass the word around.

    Hey Guys,

Looks like the moisture is pretty heavy on the Dempster. Copied this off the Yukon Gov site as of today.

Highway 5, the Dempster Highway, is closed at the Peel River. The Peel River ferry is out of service due to high water and floating debris. The remainder of the Dempster is in fair spring driving condition. Motorists will encounter a soft section at km 116. Please slow to 50 km/hr. Motorists may encounter fallen rocks and some slippery sections from km 192 through to km 286, due to heavy rainfall. The Arctic Red River ferry is in operation from 9:30 am to 12:00 midnight. For more information call 1-800-661-0750.

You can check daily at this site www.gov.yk.ca/roadreport.
