I have only experienced one winter here and from what I hear from the locals it was unusually mild. We had a handful of storms with about 6" of snow per storm. For me it is a perfect 4 seasons environment.

My neighbor who has been here since the mid 90's said the worst he has seen was about 3' of snow and the dirt roads were cleared in front of the house the next day. You had to clear the driveway to there on you own.

Please feel free to PM me and I can go into details about other CSM type material but with me being a pretty liberal mindset I enjoy living here very much.

    Take care
    Bill

Well shift... Figured out waaay too slowly why my wife was giving me the evil eye... Father's Day is no longer just Father's Day for me it's also my son's birthday! :fpalm :clap

She made plans early on for a Sunday party, then "forgot" about my ride up to the trees and rescheduled for that Saturday.

Ah well ... luckily Bill and the mountains will still be there next time... Cheers

Well heck, you can't very well keep that avitar and miss both your son's birthday and father's day. Kind of like familial suicide.

On the note of not being able to make it, I too, am going to miss the gathering. No real excuse aside from being pretty worn out from a two week campout with 6 grandkids and lacking the energy to pack up or do any significant riding. You guys enjoy.

Damn. Weather looks awesome up there this weekend. Highs around 70 with chances of rain and not unbearable temps leaving/coming back to Tucson also with some chance of rain. Really regret not being able to make it.

My only concern is how much rain we might get. It looks like most of the hurricane remnants will be to the east.

Hell, a little water never hurt nobody and we can sure use it up here.

    See everyone real soon.

I am hoping to make it up there... but the Fathers Day thing is tough... just curious.. was it just an oversight that it was planned on Fathers Day weekend or was that the plan?
