You picked a great area! Definitely one of my favorites. I was in Alpine area for a week in August and really enjoyed it. Heber/ Overgaard last year.

Well it has been a while since I took the DR out and with the weather in the 60's today a little ride is in order.

Nothing fancy just a easy trek on some of the local dirt roads.

    Here was my loop
    [IMG]

Started at the Stanford General Store

Then headed North until in ened and went West until I hit a major road.

Here are some random shots to give a idea of the area.

    Still a little snow left

Loved the trees in the ravine

Not a single bullet hole in these signs

That's about it until next time

Hi guys. I am guessing some of you guys move south for Winter riding. I am headed over to the Bisbee Douglas area with a couple of buddies for more of a street ride. We have 4 or 5 days to explore, motelling it and with a couple of KLRS along with 690 KTMs. Some mild dirt fine. Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

    Renogeorge,

Can't really suggest a specific route but I can say that Bisbee is a really cool town with super friendly people.

If you are looking for a street ride once the weather warms up you can't go wrong with the devils highway

    Have a great ride!

    2spot and Julio,

I have been mostly taking the jeep instead of the bike and exploring the area between Vernon and Pinetop but with the temps in the 60's now I will be taking the DR and try and post more often.

I am thinking of hosting something like "porkfest" at my place sometime this summer.

    What do you all think?

No shortage of easy dirt roads. The green highlights ones I have been on (when I remember to take the GPS)

That's what I am thinking and nice 7000 feet altitude when it is 110 in the valley.

There is room for a trailer or two as well

Don't miss Montezuma Canyon Rd. to Lochiel and the Fray Marcos DeNiza monument. It passes through some beautiful country along the Mexican border. Geronimo Trail east out of Douglas is another favorite ride. All of it super easy dirt.
