I lost all my map info on a dropped macbook pro a few months ago, thus loosing all my tracks from Wildnerness Rider Buffalo Ranch. I'm getting by with a little help from my friends.

Here is a screen shot of Day 1.
Notice how we labeled A and B. You might want to follow A first, to lunch, then B after lunch.

Downloaded tracks and Basecamp broke day 1 into A and B but day 2 and 3 are not. Not a big deal but, if there is an A and B for those days, what are the midpoint spots (town or gas stop names)?

Here are screen shots of each day to print and put on a tank bag if you like to see an overview. I also put these on my phone in case it all goes horribly wrong and I need to re-route. There's not a lot of cell coverage in some areas up there.

There are waypoints but it'll be obvious. Look for 60+ guys at a gas station!

For the full-sized trax, you should not need it broken into A,B,C... However, on day one, there is a loop at the south point, just above Oark. I suggest riding it a certain direction. That is why there is an A and B for day 1.

For day two, in the map above, the red tracks are for small bike riders with some level of skill. The green is the main track.

Day 3 might look a bit of a mess, but it is not. The green track in the image above is the main track. The red track goes from camp to Wildnerness Rider Buffalo ranch, for those who want to go. The blue track goes from Wilderness Ranch to the end point, Turpentine Creek.

Since I use an older Garmin Nuvi car GPS I have converted the tracks to ROUTES for my use.

If anyone else needs ROUTES please let me know and I will post them here.

I left DFW around 5pm Wed and made it to TCWR around 1am. Could tell Thurs was going to be great weather and had a good time on the pre-ride.

Friday’s ride was great too although the rain made a few sections muddy and challenging. Friday night the cold front blew in and Sat morning it was freezing cold. Like an idiot, I had left my heated gear and winter waterproof gloves in my car back at TCWR.

I rode back to the refuge on 23 for over an hour and it was painful. I couldn’t stop to warm up because my ignition had frozen in the on position. I had to use a heater to unfreeze it before I left to turn it on and I was afraid if I turned it off it would stick again. Shit it was cold.

I ended up pulling the plug and headed home Sat since I’m coming back to SLAP in a few weeks. Had a great time though and as always met some new and interesting people. Even helped a few who were gps challenged. I didn’t take many pics but here are some
