All the pre-riding is done and the tracks will go up by Friday. The routes for this ride are the best. Two of the routes are 185 miles! Each route offers many opportunities to bail out and hit the slab if you are ready for a hot shower. At this time the rivers and creeks are low, so water crossings should not be a problem. I have provided "go arounds" for those rivers that may be high if we get a lot of rain in the next two weeks, which is not supposed to happen. Lunch stops are noted on the tracks along with plenty gas stops. If you want a shirt, sign up by Friday!

Agreed!!!!!! Gods country for moto riding! When I lived there I sometimes took it for granted, but now I often wish I have never moved away.

    Thanks.

Arkansas is home for me too, but it has been many, many years since I lived in Hot Springs.

I am currently without a working gps ( I know, the moderators are working to revoke my membership now). If I dare show up anyway would I be able to join a group or would my riding privileges be revoked and I be forced to perform bike maintenance to earn a spot for next year?

Show up, there will be plenty of folks there with GPS's to follow.
I rode the 500 without a GPS, but have since added one and hopefully will be able to help navigate.;-)

I don't know if Earl is even in this event but if he is, and he is a group leader, you will need a GPS.:lol3

Love the responses! Earl, no idea who you are, but if you show up I'll ride with you! There are much worse things than spending a few extra hours riding around the Ozarks.
Registered, see you guys Thursday afternoon. No place for a comment on paypal, I would like a large t shirt.

    Just registered.
Scotty - I would like a MEDIUM t-shirt since there was no place for a comment on the registration form.

I can be a ride leader if someone can help me make it passed the first turn, which I always seem to have problems with. :)

Anyone interested in sharing a room Friday and Saturday evenings? Prefer non-snorer...

    Okay, it's track posting time...
The tracks notating 500 are for those of you who own a GPS that can only handle 500 points. Otherwise, download the track without the notation of 500.

    BOOTLEGGER ROUTES

The routes for Day 1, 2 & 3 for the Bootlegger Ride are attached. These routes were generated on MapSource using CNNA NT 2017.1. If you have a map other than this version loaded on your gps you will need to trace the route in whatever mapset you have. Let us know if you have any problems with the routes. :norton

A GPS is not a prerequisite just added insurance for if you get lost you can find your way back to camp. I don't think you will see Earl this time around. I haven't laid eyes on him since he last rode the AR 500. But if he does, far out! :norton

Oleary is right, there will be plenty people with the maps loaded. Just fall in behind one of them and have a great day! These routes are EPIC and are a great representation of dual sport riding in the Ozarks. We do keep our routes about 90/10 pavement/county and forest roads. Bring your camera! IMG_5769.JPG

Scotty, got the routes and they look pretty good.

What is the mileage for each day so I can make sure the routes are close to your tracks?
    thanks.
