One thing I have learned by traveling the world these past 6 years is the world is a much friendlier and safer place than the media protrays it to be.
My girl friend and I plan to travel around Europe this summer proving that 99.9% of the people in the world are good, honest and friendly people.

Our bike for Europe will be this - a Honda VFR800. I have always wanted one - the one with the gear driven cams.
It will be sporty for the Alps and the Autobahn but comfortable enough to ride two up all around Europe.
Plus you can pick them up fairly cheap around Europe.

I had a '94, loved it. Biggest mistake was selling it. I'm always on the lookout for an 01.

Have fun in Europe, may be a little more challenging to keep wine budget under control.

    I really
I really want one of these but it is not so good as a two up touring bike. When I can afford a second bike, I hope to pick one up some day.

Yes, sell the HP2 before it murders you.
But is if does, Orsi and I will be your dog's God parent.

As far as wine goes, Hungarian wine is both inexpensive and good.
That will be the least of our issues.
Riding around Europe on a Sport touring bike without camping gear will be a challenge but we have a great idea how to get around this and accomplish our goals.

That's pretty cool man. I work during the day but shoot me a PM if you would like to meet up. I'll gladly buy you a couple of rounds at a local brewery.

Hungary has a kewl Moto, road-legal flat tracker called the SupeRetro and a supermoto called Nova. Both use a 510cc Sherco single, high-specification components like Öhlins suspension and Brembo radials and weigh in at about 110kg

Nice bike, awesome road handling but wrong color :)

Will be following along as usual, hit me up if you are in/near Barcelona. I am sure you still have missed some good wine regions around here (Penedes, Priorat, Monsant)
