There comes a time in every man’s life, and in some cool chicks’ lives, when the thought of owning a motorcycle trumps everything else – the plea from your significant other telling you no, the fact that you may not have a clue how to ride one, and your own conscience saying, “Dude, is this a good idea?”
The answer? Hell yeah, it’s a good idea!

Hey El, can you believe I just finished your print book today on the helicopter home from work? I wasn't in any rush seeing as I'd been through the digital threads a couple of times already. Fun read and I just wanted to say thanks for the shout out in the Acknowledgements.:D

As for everyone else our Moto B&B should be up and running for spring so come on up and see what El was talking about.:D

I read the book as well and thoroughly enjoyed it. As I'd read her ride report thread, I was thinking it would just be a repeat of same, but not at all. Of course it was the same trip, but the book has so much more. Well worth a read, IMHO.

Agreed it was a totally different writeup than the RR to still make for a good read with new stuff if you've already been through the RR. Buy it!

Hahaha, Egle just posted on the front page!

"Speaking of regularity: there’s nothing worse than posting a burst of blog entries, then disappearing for weeks or even months. Consistency is key, so create an archive of a least 10-12 blog posts before you even launch your site and schedule them in advance. That way, you’ll always keep your audience happy!"

maybe ADVrider needs to look at compensating some of the highly popular contributors to the Ride Reports forum. That way it would be more of a priority to them. I can't blame anyone for not keeping a long RR going. It's got to get old after a while, and people's priorities change.

Some of those people are now writing articles for ADV, no idea what kind of compensation there might be for that.

    Just Fcuking fantastic

I just ordered the Amazon member - mi espousa to order the book.

I guess its sometimes good to be unemployed to read the whole thread - unreal - I've passed this thread along to a beer making Lithuanian friend.

Have a job interview tomorrow with a Lithuanian too - Jeez I can't get away from them.

    Unreal R/R

    Thanks for sharing

Some of us have been posting for a very long time on RR's, mine is a good 9 years going now. I don't want or need compensation, but it is mostly for fun and hopefully, it will offer value to others, inspiration, and all that. The fame-seeking thing became a thing in the last 5-7years. People will spam up a place for the same of fame.
I post when I can, most time forget to post.... yes that's shit I know:photog
But that said to run for big numbers on a RR here to impress who? The sponsors they begged for free stuff?

Sorry @EvergreenE for my hijack post:thumb

I think El pretty much ended her story here, then she wrote a book. Now she writes for a few different publications and is out wandering around doing her thing. I took it that this thread had run its course and therefore was left alone. Same as most RR's where the trip ends. Michnus your situation is a little different and you've been continously on the road and posting when you can or feel like it with your thread being more like a continual story rather that just an RR.
