Tower bridge London
Dam it Ed's here,I'm almost home from another trip to B.C just in time for the show to begin, let's ride
In front of Buckingham Place. Queen was home that day.
Tam showing me around her home town. Big Ben in the background.
London is nice but I am not impressed with the beer here. It's all so light and flavorless.
Where's all the stouts, porters, Scottish ales and barley wines?
No.worries, heading to Albania later tonight and back to the GS. Can't wait to get back on that big yellow bike.
Fellow AdvRider Zan and I sharing some brews and laughs at a local pub in Trafalger Square London. He is planning his own around the world ride and i hope to one day follow his own blog here. He also hooked us up with a nice hotel room in town and we are so thankful for him for that - as that might be our last real bed we might see for a while. Tent camping here we come.
If you live in eastern Europe from Italy/Germany to the east, we are always looking to meet new friends and if you have a spare room or couch, that would be cool too
Europe can be so expensive.
What take you sooooooo long?
I know you are making up all the romance from all the past months in Alaska. But Tam will be with you so let get back on the roads and the RR we are waitting :ddog
Albanians steal the fillings from their mama's teeth for crack money. Hope your bike is ok.
You were going to the wrong boozers. Get away from the tourist areas next time and you'll get some good beer. Its 25+ years since I lived in London but go along the Kings Road to the Worlds End pub (if it's still there), they brewed their own beer on site.
Bike is fine and all good
My attitude with Albania has changed 180 degrees.
I love it there.
The people are cool
Yeah, they still drive like jerks but when in Rome or in this case Tirana
About time you show up
I totally agree. I was drinking the equivilent to Miller over there at most pubs.
But i did go to one micro brewery in London called the Crate and it did make some fine beers.
Yep, out of Albania and in to beautiful Macedonia now.
The English lass and I have been keeping real busy day and night so there has not been much time for posts.
But the quality of material and photos has definitely improved.
I will try and upload them soon.
Hooked! Enjoy it man. I'm hitting the road in the summer of 2016, but until then, I'll be keeping up with you here! Clap!
Tamara and I loaded up and ready to go.
I have The Flying Dutchman loaded to the max and it is riding just fine
i'll be looking out for you as i head towards the balkans and europe over the next month or so
Visiting Albania is like going back in time.
My first experience there was not so good. I didn't like the people. I thought they were rude. But I gave them a second chance. And it was just a bad first experience with just a few bad apples.
Yeah, sure the roads are shit and they all drive like jerks, but it is an awesome place to visit.
After spending $7 for beers is London, Tam and I stopped at a little street café and ordered a coffee, five beers and a hot sandwich from a street vendor that was delivered from a nearby restaurant all for less than $5.
The guy next to us made a call and the sandwich was delivered by scooter to our little spot along side the street. And that guy got one of the 60 cent beers
Who knew there were Roman ruins in Albania.
Pretty cool place and we had it pretty much all to ourselves
I could have fit in in Roman times
Tam is loving Albania. There is so much to see and do here. And it is totally off the tourist map scene
