I glad that you are able to work and still wear flip flops. Great for the team must have been that damn magic string. Maybe you need to go in business selling the magic string, put it on Shark Tank. Maybe you will end up like your friend Bill.

I just wanted to post one last message here and thank everyone that supported me all these years. And a special thanks to all those that hosted me around the US and Canada in September and October. I definitely got my fill of filet mignon, wine and good beer to hold me over for a while. I don't want to go through and name everyone here but you know who you are. And so do I. Those last 2 months were certainly a highlight and an epic way to close out an epic trip.
I can honestly say, that everyone I met was cool. And I hope our paths cross again one day.
Since this chapter of my ride is over, so must my ride report.
But unlike my first ride report, this one will remain open for comments and questions - provided they are related to my 5 1/2 years ride around the world.
If I ever do another adventure ride, I will start a new Ride Report here.

Also, I want to thank Advrider for giving me a media to express my thoughts and share my stories with anyone who was willing to listen. Crazy to think my Ride Reports have over 5.6 million views. Because of Advrider, I have lots of new friends that I would have never met. And that is worth much more to me than monetizing from it. And I have a lot of friends that I havent yet met but I hope to one day.

The guy on the left in this photo is actually the very first guy I met on my ride. He had run out of gas on his motorcycle in a remote area of Baja when my ex GF and I were riding down to Cabo San Lucas on the very first week of my ride. We stopped at brought gas to him (good karma). When I was in La Paz at the finish of this year's Baja 1000 race, he found me and we caught up. He did his own adventure ride all the way to Patagonia and back a couple of years ago.

    Small world.

Thanks for sharing your adventure with us, it's been fun reading all the stories. And of course all the amazing pictures. I've goggled so many places I never knew existed because you we're there.

If my boss only knew how much time I spent on here reading your stories!!

Ed, I can hardly express enough thanks and certainly can’t put it into words any better than many people on ADVrider already have. I’ve read every part of both ride reports, even though your first 800 days started before I joined this site. I discovered you through Noah’s RR when you met up in SE Asia several years ago. So I did a week long marathon read to get caught up and have followed ever since. The truth is I never even subscribed to the thread because it was always easy to find since it usually lived on the first page of Epic Rides.

You are an amazing dude! The things you have done in the past 5 years wouldn’t seem possible if someone simply told me about it, but having read it in real time these past few years have shown what a regular person can do if they step out and go for it. Very inspiring.

I’m one of many who never got the chance to meet you, however on your round the USA trip you passed within a short mile of my house! Maybe in the future our paths will cross and I can enjoy a good craft brew with you.

It’s hard to believe it has all come to an end. So thank you for the many stories and Edven(n)tures, they will be greatly missed as they help get me through the monotony that many of us are trapped in.

    Cheers man! And ride on!
