The low prediction is ~2x's warmer than last year. I might have wasted my money on a warmer sleeping bag. :bluduh

Daniel or Roger (or anyone who knows)

What would be a cutover (and the time/ distance) to get to Solvang from Schiedeck??

I'm thinking about hitting the M/C museum Sat afternoon, then staying with a buddy in SLO Sat nite

If you want to stick to paved road, north along the 33, left on the 166 towards Santa Maria and the 101. Take Tepusquet road south (N35 01.331 W120 12.479) through Fox Canyon to Los Olivos (visit Michael Jackson) and then Alamo Pintado Rd to Solvang.

Otherwise go south on the 33 to Ojai, right on Casitas Pass Rd to the 101 north and then through Santa Barbara. Take 154 past Lake Cachuma to Armour Ranch Rd and Solvang.

That will make a nice day loop with Solvang about half way.

There are dirt roads across the mountains, but I do not know them.

This is Richard Cabesa's turf, so he may pipe in with some more ideas.

Only way to go :thumb I'd say stop and meet me but I won't be there :lol3 You could do Hwy 192 instead of the 101 through town if you want to stay off the slab. The 192 adds time but not miles. It's about 110 miles to Solvang and another 80 to SLO, Hit Ballard/Foxen/Tepesquet canyons on the way north. Hit me up with a map around camp.

Oh, you mean that! I was thinking that we should try that one again some time. :D That is off the 166. I thought there may be some more tracks further south.

Yip, I taped Roger's arm up for the trip off the mountain. That was a good ride. We should really attempt that again...

Bring your research crap & your laptop to the CO & we'll write it for you around the campfire on SAT night. It'll be great. All those dulled munds working in unison towards a common goal. You'll get an "A", maybe an "A+". :webers

If you would rather do it yourself, we'll do our best to have a good time w/o you, but it won't be easy. :freaky

    See you at DVD! :wave
