Getting out with my son, who put this together
Great job with the video. Did you guys leave any mud in the mountains?
LOL Thanks for the shout but I take care of mechanical and he does all the technical so I can't take full credit. We're not really sure what we're doing so that helps as well. ie. taking that puddle with a hidden rock underneath way too fast. -Marty
I appreciate the time and efforts spent in producing this. I really enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for sharing this. I really enjoyed it.
Dad might want to think about some 50/50 tires! Your son shoots some great film. From start to finish, one of the best things I've seen on ADVrider. Great drone shots, close ups, rack focus, nice editing, and good music choices. Bravo!
Wonderfully done and that's some quality time with your Son.
Nice video and thanks for sharing. What area of WV were you riding in?
Green Ridge State Forrest up on the pan handle.
Thanks for the info. I get down that way every August to the BSA Rally near Toronto Ohio. Been wondering if there was any nice riding in the WV panhandle.
Rt 9 out or Berkeley Springs is one of the nicest roads around and leads to Paw Paw, which is suspect, but Green Ridge is right there. My cabin's in that area so reach out if you need a place to crash... I meant spend the night.
My son is 14 and got his first dirt bike this past weekend.
Great vid and looks like it was a fantastic time out with your boy. I hope my boys want to get out and do the same thing with me when they're old enough.
The use of different focal points and varying shots is great, excellent job splicing all of that together. I know how hard it is to get a mix of different footage to use and that ~6 minutes of video likely took a hundred hours or more to edit together.
What drone was used for the aerial shots? And what was used for the still shots?
Perfect way to capture the essence of the weekend, thanks for putting the effort into getting the footage, editing it down, and sharing with the rest of us
Thanks for the props. It does take a while since we used a DSLR, Go Pro, Iphone and Spark drone. Lots of footage to weed out as you know. We're no dual sport experts but had a great time regardless. I'm lucky he still wants to hang with me at age 20. -Marty
Awesome job on the vid. Looks very professional. Looks like you had a great time with your son.
GRSF is in MD, where were you riding in WV?
South west of Paw Paw
You guys looked plenty versed in water crossings . I liked all those shots, there's nothing like a bike forcing water out of its path. And you had a killer save in one sequence when the bike kicked-out sideways and you stayed on the throttle. Lots of peeps would chop and end up in the soup...lol.
One of my biggest hopes is that my boys want to hang with the old man and do this type of thing when the time comes. I have a ways to go (boys are only 7 and 9 and only the 9 year old has shown strong interest in riding), but it's something I look forward to as a Dad.
Hope you guys are able to get out several more times and capture the adventure like you have with this one
