Rocky Hill School. Okmulgee County, Oklahoma. WPA built 1936, closed in the '60s, presently a residence.
I have a soft spot for those WPA schools, and that one is pretty darn cool.
I'd live there.
I never knew it was there. I had been through there a few times and never noticed it. It's kind of hidden by the foliage/trees along the road.
Used this one for a tag last week. Cottonwood, OK, WPA built school 1938-39. Still in use today and seems to have thrived where a lot of the small country schools have not.
Greene County TN
Yonkers, Oklahoma. I've posted this one several times but I often go back by when I'm in the area.
I stopped at a country store near Moodys, Oklahoma. This mural was on the wall outside. I went in and asked if the school still existed. They said, "You're standing in it."
