    Hi all,

earlier this year my friend and I went on a two-week trip from Santiago, Chile to the Atacama Desert. We bought a DR650 and a KLR650 and the advrider forum has been invaluable in getting the bikes ready for the trip. Thanks for that!

We have put our impressions and experiences into a 20-minute video, which we'd like to share with the community. Hope you enjoy!

Edit: And here is part 2 - hope you enjoy it! IF you did, make sure to like and subscribe :-)

Thanks for the videos, especially during covid. When were you in Chile?

And yes, the dogs...and the high boots - I also attest to the need for good lower leg protection for when one inevitably gets nipped.

Hi Mike, we were there during February, which was good timing because they have now again closed the borders for tourism.

Patiently waiting for Part 3. You guys have a great attitude and I'm pretty impressed with your language abilities also. I've been "learning" Spanish for 30 years and still not close to speaking it like you do. Plus perfect English and German?

Nice videos. Your little experiment with sand was hilarious. I traveled all through Chile and Argentina with my German wife back in 1995 and we're still married. Keep the videos coming.

Awesome videos. I rode a lot of the places in part two including that little fishing village.
Really well edited. Keep it coming!

    Excellent in all ways.
It must take supreme dedication to the art of videography to be able to edit it all down to such interesting footage.
    Looking forward to part 3 and, I hope, 4, 5, and 6!
    Well done!

I really enjoyed the videos as it brought back memories of my 2018 trip to Chile and Argentin. I too headed North from Santiago but being alone on a heavy R1200 GSA I wasn´t going to venture off road except when I had to. I recognised the fishing village where they were treated to lunch. I too stopped for a snack there. No video from me but you can read my trip report on my website - www.garenneinvestments.com - where even if I say it myself, there are some really good photos.

Thanks, guys, really appreciate the feedback. It is admittedly more work to edit these videos than I had anticipated and hearing that you enjoyed watching them is good motivation to work on part 3.

    Cheers

Loving the videos and your narration. Excellent videography, how do you capture those riding shots with both bikes in frame? Drones?
