I got to get a quick 50 mile ride in this morning before work. Also, my iPhone front facing camera has died from vibrations on the bike, so get used to selfies until I get it replaced.

Of course! Lake Russell WMA is about 12 miles from my place but otherwise all dirt/gravel once you're out there. I really need to learn where the trails are out there...one of these days

LBL canceled with two options (1) 100 dollar refund,
    (2) 180 dollars saves your spot for next year and then you pay 180 dollars again. :hmmmmm

I had not seen the "original" email with the link to the form to fill out until just now.... NOW it has become clear to me why others have been blasting them about the lack of a refund... I figured they could keep my $$ and I would be registered for next year but NO... They keep your $$ and you still have to pay for next year.... Y'all chime in on this... I don't wanna bash the KT Riders as they do a fantastic job with the LBL... It's one of the best ride on the east coast, for sure but this seems a little odd....

Seems like they would at least put a 100 toward next year.

Apparently it is... My email has been blowing up with the complaining because one guy decided to "reply to all" and started ranting...

@Buildzall and I both have yet to receive our email from KT Riders directly.... @bones454 did you actually get one from them OR were you just copied on the ranting messages??

There is no mention of it being canceled on their web site

    Dear LBL 200 Supporter,

Due to increase in cases of COVID-19, we regret to inform you that the US Forestry Service has cancelled all events in Land Between the Lakes scheduled for the fall, including the LBL 200. We always look forward to seeing all of our old friends, as well as meeting new ones, so we are truly saddened by this decision. But we care about you all and want you coming back in the future, so please know that your health and safety are our top priority.

With that being said, we had already begun making plans and payments toward many components of the ride, including food, insurance, event supplies, and other non-refundable deposits. We hope you understand that because of this, we are unable to offer full refunds at this time, but we do have a couple options available for you to choose from.

    1. We will mail you a partial refund. This will be a check for $100. If you wish to ride the LBL 200 next year, you will be required to sign-up on the website as usual when sign-up opens on March 1, 2021.

    OR

    2. You opt to receive no refund, but you will have a spot reserved for you for the 2021 LBL 200. Next year, you will be guaranteed a spot in the ride. You will not have to complete sign-up online as usual, but you will still pay the $180 registration fee. Essentially, what’s left of your registration fee this year reserves your spot for next year. This is an appealing option, as our ride usually fills up in a couple hours after sign-up opens. Rest assured, the money from your registration fees will be donated to many organizations around the community geared toward helping families or businesses in need during this difficult time, as well as making the 2021 LBL 200 even bigger and better!

Please click the link below to fill out the form to let us know which option you choose. If you signed up multiple people, please fill out a separate form for each person, with the correct address to which the refund should be sent.

    2020 LBL 200 Option Form

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience, and look forward to seeing everyone in the future.
