    Also,
US.forestry svc revoked permit due to US GOVERNMENT social distancing guidlines.

(as in When your off the bike,
    all at the same location)

If you attended the Hooch this year then you saw some of the great pains that we went thru to be compliant with social distancing guidlines during registrations....

The Hooch was almost cancelled just days before the event.
The USFS was ready to pull the event permit.
    it was so bad that
a USFS Ranger was there supervising all efforts to ensure compliance w/6foot distancing under threat of permit revocation.
The registration line had 6ft markers in the grass.
Volunteers to police the registration area,
And still there were several assholes to go out of their way to argue against every effort we made to try to keep everyone safe all the way thru the process. (Like defiant Special needs children that can't fit into group situations - cept these were grownups)

In the weeks before the event
There was several group meetings and many hours invested in detailed step by step planning, (with trial runs,)
to ensure the event was successfully compliant.
I guestimate easily over a hundred man hours and an additional (near) $2000 in extra equipment stuffs.

And after putting in so much effort, to be chastised by the (self entitlement) patrons was so.... insulting.

If it wasn't for the open-minded and understanding appreciation of the rest of the crowd, particularly the select few who went out of their way to show appreciation for all the hard work put in to make it happen, if it weren't for those few....

I would not participate in organizing another group ride. ( just to do my part in social distancing - away from fucktards)

The pandemic has created many unforeseeable circumstances.

This is the first ever postponed and/or cancellation the LBL has ever had.

I know the guys at the LBL and I know they are still working on trying to figure out how to please all their fans.
    If you can,
PLEASE REPLY TO ANY OF THE ONES WHO ARE OUT OF SORTS ABOUT THE SITUATION ... please remind them that the pandemic is an unforseeable, unpredictable, act of God situation.

    Remind them,
    we are all, only human,
    we are all, trying hard,
and that patience with kind words will win the day.

We can all agree, it is sad to lose a ride.
I had a good time at the LBL200.
Well, except that time it rained and the first 10 miles were eel shit, freshly groomed.
Yabbut what about those goat trails along the lake!

Yup, sad to lose a ride.
See what 2021 brings, still good times to be had there.

Damn, did I kill the thread?

So, I have some info on the first owner of the BSA. Using my awesome Google-Fu, I tracked him down. I left a message on his phone...
Later that day, he returned my call!
He lives in his hometown listed on the original bill of sale!

Fender with the base stickers from his time in Key West!

If you look closely you can see a KTM underneath all that mud.
