Rode the Tail Chaser 250 today...or most of it. Little chilly in the morning at 32 degrees in Rosman, NC but it eventually warmed up nicely. All in all, a good day to ride.

    Rode my GoldWing yesterday.
Beat to hell and back, big lower back pain and muscle spasms.
But, nothing broken! Impact point a couple inches forward, probably be in surgery for my leg.
    Very, very fortunate.

Red light runner hit me at 40-45mph, while I was turning left on my green.
    Then they hit another car.

    Wont buff out.

Be careful out there guys! Wasnt my fault, but I am pissed I didnt see and avoid it.

Very fortunate. Good to see they stuck around too. I got lucky yesterday too - the only time I had my engine roaring a bit, a deer ran right in front of me! I braked and he got past me. Computer says I was up to 106 before I slowed.

    Cheers!

Holy cow, you definitely had an Angel on your shoulder! My stomach is sick seeing this as you could be dead and it's exhibit #1 of why I'm skeered to death ride any asphalt or even ride FSR's. So many spaced out/distracted/obliviot drivers out there. Good luck on the leg surgery.

I keep having pseudo panic flashes visualising being hit by car. So glad your OK and so fortunate to be only banged up. Add a basket of remorse for your bike just as she came back to a sweet spot in her life time because you and your labor of love. Yes, very sorry for tragic loss of your bike too, as in also. Yeah,,, best wishes to both of yuse.

ob1, you need to load up on lottery tickets. My magic 8-ball says fortune favors you heavily right now. It's also suggesting someone on this board has a rendezvous with a wheelie and what appears to be either a **squinting hard here** a fence or maybe a ditch?? Could be a fenced ditch or a ditched fence; my magic 8-ball is not very clear :lol3

    Ya'll stay safe out there.

Today with Brian. A good bit of off trail trying to follow an ancient singletrack that finally played out

About 10 years ago I was going for an easy gravel road ride to exercise our border collie down the road. Deer ran out in front, pasted me, then the fucker turned around to run right back across the road and jump on my front tire. I was going maybe 12mph. Gently laid my bike on the ground after a fist full for front break, and while gracefully dismounting I put one hand on the ground to steady myself. Let the record show, my body never hit the ground so it wasn’t a fall. When I went to pick my XLR up I heard my thumb crunch. Turns out I shattered part of it when my hand graced the ground. Three pins in that fucker thanks to a determined deer. Now I bow hunt.

Rode for the first day since March! Got the cobwebs off riding HP solo. I usually hate the first ride after a long hiatus because I get frustrated which how out of shape I am and the fact my throttle control seems to be lost. It it was actually a super fun day. Rode smooth but no speeds beyond my meager abilities. I now remember why bikes have been a part of my life and I need to get back out there.

As a side note, I haven’t been riding for a variety of reasons. Damaged some shit in my knee because I started running daily. Learned my lesson, running sucks. Then theirs my full time job plus the business my wife and I own, our 20+ employees and this covid making work x 10 what it is. Oh ya my full time job is in healthcare. All the more reason for me to ride.
