Managed to get 60 miles in today up here in North Georgia. Cloudy, overcast and cool but no rain.
Most of the leaves are gone but still a great ride thru the National Forest. 1107201446a_HDR.jpg

I believe the governor of SC has a family member in the gravel business that is pretty well off at this moment. Bastard....... But other than that the ride was great as always. Leaves were in top form in most places.

Yes, thank you to all the GARTRA crew for a great day of riding!
I hadn’t been up Tallulah river road since the storms. They did some impressive damage.

    Hey Guys,
I'm looking for some places to ride in the dirt around the Cartersville area. Willing to travel. I was thinking about Houston Valley, but I don't know anything about it. I would be on a XR650L. Any ideas about how I would fare up there? Anyone have any other places for a larger dual sport bike like mine? Thanks.

Hey, when im not injured im a single track purist and loathe quad trails (safety first) BUT BUT BUT Houston Valley is fun as heck! They have great topography and is the way to do quad trails. Yes, its still stoopopid 2-way trails but this time of year with leaves off the trees it makes it more safe, IMHO. No sxs’s allowed, just quads and bikes. Make sure theyre open before you haul. You will like their rolling hills, mounds and curves. Ample flat paved parking and 2 bathrooms is all a fellar needs. Your 650 will be fine, there is NO singletrack there. Maybe one day tho.......

Thanks Lotta. Sorry you're hurt. Still looking for other places and don't mind a little rougher than wide quad trails, just not severe stuff on my current bike.

I've been there, and it's fun, but looking for different places.

I chased you. When my outer knobbies are worn more than the middle I know I was in hot pursuit. Fun times. Thanks.

Not sure if this place has ANY single track trails but a lot of 2 wheel folks seem to be enjoying https://indianmtnatvpark.com/ I hear they have night rides and some impressive hill climbs.
