1. Hey everyone, We’re going to start a weekly email to surface interesting threads in the forums. No worries, you can easily unsubscribe if you don’t find it interesting. If you’re like me, it’s nice to have someone willing to poke around a big community like ours and find the most interesting stuff. Saves time and I hate missing something great. It worked really well when we had someone discovering the best photos for the home page rotation back in the day. And if you have something fascinating to post, maybe this email does everyone some good by getting it noticed. Let us know what you think when you get it. Your feedback will make it better as we go (thread). Thanks! Baldy & rudy1220

Have you ever considered putting out a B.M.W. R1200GS specific instructional repair d.v.d.? Oil change, valve adjustment, plug change, tire change, etc....... Keep it around $20-$25 and I'll buy one. Reading the descriptions is not as helpful as watching it over and over a few times...Just a thought. Anyone else?

Funny you mention that. A couple local friends of mine, producers and camera gurus for NBC, have asked me the same thing, and are willing to help.

I have the "story boards" in my tutorials, and I am a professional trainer by trade, so it kinda makes sense.

Honestly though, it would be several months before it has a chance of seeing daylight.

Thanks for the vote of confidence!:thumb

Yeah, I like your tutorials, but I'd like to see different angles, a voice-over, etc. Done right, it'd be a big help to all...

A good idea for sure. I bought a CD with videos for Ducati service recently for $15. A slick DVD with your skilled instructions would be worth $25 for sure.

Jim, you should start scheduling tech days around the USA that correspond to your work travel. Or we'll post BMWBMW tech schedule and people can work them into their vacatons. :lol3

:clap Great idea Jim. I'm in. Throttle body sync ,and valves. Thats the two things i want to learn to do. The throttle bodys are probably pretty easy with a twin max or similar ,but I never did it. Tired of making the stealer rich. And its an hour ride up there to drop off the bike and an hour back....twice:puke1.....Maybe you can price it around the same as those decals I was selling. LOL:lol3.....Just kidding...:thumb

A guy is selling Instructional (sports ) videos over the internet with an option of a "download only" version for $10 cheaper than the DVD version.. The buyer then burns his own Disc at home. No fuss with mailing for you Jim,,,It's all "auto-magic"... Great Idea... Go for it ...

    I can see it now.

You could do an around the country motorcycle tour to promote your DVD. :deal You could make stops at all the different MOA chapters and teach tech days. The MOA chapter would have to put you up and pay you for your expenses + beer money. :beer You could go for the ride of a lifetime and get rich at the same time. :D I like it.:nod I'll be your agent for 50% and I'll ride with you.:lol3
