Thanks Alfons. I've read the Dr Bean has to be soldered in and my soldering is abysmal??. I suppose the only way to know is to pull it apart eh??.

Is there any other non original but identical pump I can carry around as a spare.

It's pretty grubby eh:shog. The previous con artist...I mean owner was good at keeping the outside clean. This is the first time I've removed anything from it as I was going to do a full strip and check when I retired. Ha, looks like I'll have to do it sooner as retirement has gone out the window for the moment.

Hey Andrew, my soldering is good even if I say so myself :)
I could pull my pump and send it up to you so you can keep running... and you have the new Bean's kit sent down to me plus your pump and we can make it happen.
I've had my pump submerged in water, clay slop, bulldust and it's never missed a beat after the upgrade.

I hear you re: Retirement.. I had a plan of semi-retiring this year, ship bike OS, a tour all round GB and Scotland, then circumnavigate the Med in mid 2021... that plan, is now wholly fcuked, inside out!
    Lemme know re: fuel pump...

    Cheers, A

Thank mate. My pump is still running fine, I'm looking at getting a back up in case it goes belly up out on a ride. A bolt out/bolt in thing. I wouldn't mind finding one that is stuffed and throwing a Dr Beans at it.

Any one got a rear left footpeg bracket from a 950/990, in very good/excellent condition (not bent), that they'd consider selling?

I am after replacement sprockets for my 950. 45 Rear, 16 Front
Originally I always bought the replacement chain (DID) and sprockets from the Chain Gang, but they disappeared some time ago. So for the last 2-3 sets of replacement sprockets I've used the RK brand, however, they wear much faster (though cheaper than OEM). I am concerned that the worn sprockets are affecting/ shortening the life of the DID chain. A google search shows that the Supersprox brand is about the same price as RK, but I have no idea about the quality/ life span of this brand.
So what brand of sprockets are people buying that they get good mileage from?

The factory sprockets are pretty damn good . $95 for a rear, $100 for a front .
DID ZVM-X chain works, and lasts.
I've got a new stealth supersprox here for the next change, not really impressed how it's made.

Was using On rear supersprox Stealth 45(which I found good)
Now using a dirt tricks 47( which hasn’t shown any see able wear in 5000kms or more.

    Hello everyone,

I currently have a 08 KTM 990 ADV S, I am currently running a 2-1 pipe with a Akro end with a 8L aux tank on the other side.
I was just wondering located in the Sydney area if anyone know 1) a place to tune the bike or someone who has experience in tuning a bike for 2-1 ?
2 was wondering what people have done when the rear header pipe looks to be slightly on the worn side, replaced with OEM, Patched exhaust shop to build a new one?

Any info is great much appreciated.

with regards to the rear header, if you've already blanked the 02 sensor on your bike then you don't need the bung hole, which means the rear header off a 950 will work. Even though the mounting flange diameter is slightly smaller than the 990, the tube diameter is the same and the placement of the mounting studs on the engine case is the same, they bolt up nicely, I've done that on my 2012 990 without any issues.
