Thanks for that offer. You're welcome to overnight here if you like. The coffee is good here too.

Mine is dribbling a bit. Nothing terminal or to stop me from riding it - KTM acknowledged thermo pipe leakage and parts are on the way.

Duke 790, is there a spare accessory wire behind the headlight or anywhere to connect a charger or accessories to?

    Thanks

Thanks, I don't want to go pulling the headlight assembly apart if there isn't one there

ACC 1 & 2 are accessed via the removable panel underneath the instrument binnacle... Some are, some not.
There’s a wealth of info in the 790 HOW.
Check the OC forum for links :)

What is the story on the thermostat leak ?

My 790 Duke had a water leak from the hose leading into the thermostat (common problem) within the 1st 1,000 kms and I just tightened the hose clamp, problem gone, I've since been told by the dealer that there is a thermostat problem that would be fixed in the 12 mth service - unfortunately I did the service myself and the dealer wouldn't elaborate on what the thermostat problem is.

Anyone know what this latest thermostat problem is ? Or is it the same loose clamp on the water hose.

I can’t believe how much better that looks with just a normal headlight!

    Um.... Nah, not for me.

I'm not overly keen on the oem headlight visually (great light output though), but as I can't see it from the saddle doesn't worry me :)
Waiting for Rade (typo) Garage to release their new screen.

Its sort of one step forwards, one backwards.
Perhaps a Baja Designs LED light set up in a later model exc surround... that (above) makes a new bike look dated, and the screen looks gumby too.

Or at least lower the entire set up so the headlight sits on the guard properly.

Maybe Rade will come up with something like this eventually for the 790 alien vag headlight...
    That’d be cool! 1.jpg

News today ...its a thermostat and pipe to be replaced under warranty. Only ever saw 3 squares on the temp gauge b4 the fan/s(?) started up in traffic. Seems to work fine. It is the leak that is unsettling & the slight mist of stinky steam on start up.

EO7+ rear is half gone with 2 thousand on it. Be spooning the tyres up to this one its so tempting to twist... I might have to calm down a bit and get the CC (as advised) for interstate travel! ^Woz - I will see if I can find out more next week.

    Pretty routine in 690 / 701 land …

And a lot of the 790 crowd have probably emigrated from there ...
