My argument is for SEQ to go it alone, I'm not really too concerned about the rest of the state. As the crow flys, I am exactly 32km north of the NSW border and it seems ridiculous to be getting up at 5am local time like I did this morning.

Only good thing I can say about it is that when I take the jetski out in half an hour the waters of Moreton Bay should be nice and smooth before the wind gets up.

Anyway, this time next week I plan to be in Cape Town, and riding Southern Africa for a month or two, so I'm expecting to have a different set of problems to manage there.

I think you should probably try & get Gold Coast City Council to secede back over the border to NSW & leave the other councils out of it.

QLD is so large and geographicly that what works for the SE Corner, doesnt work in Cairns, Isa or Charleville.
Sure, WA is larger but the population is mostly concentrated in the SW of the state.

As Denis said, the variation of sunset thru the day is reoughly 2 hours at the most between shortest day and longest day, and then its only for about 2 weeks, on average its about 1:15 I reakon.

For my money, get stuffed. Leave the bloody clocks alone. Pain in the arse how light it is of an evening without mucking around with the clocks. Want more time in the evenings? Well get up bloody earlier numbnutz.

    Cheers Tom R

There are morning people, and there are night people. Seems to be a lot more of the former on this forum. :hmmmmm

Luckily for me, in the general population they are still in the minority, both in the southern states AND in QLD. :jkam :-)

The yellow one coming in? Looks like gas. Disconnect it and light the end.
