That will sort out those pesky cyclists and get them back on the footpath where they belong.
I'd be reporting it... if the cops don't/cannot do anything about it ... complain to the pollies.
Great teacher in remote survival Les Hiddins ... look him up
Ex Pongo, easy to listen to and no bullshit. Top bloke.
RIP Rory. Great memories from my childhood.....
Oh, and Les Hiddens was a great watch as well
On Landline last year:
It all went downhill Alby Mangles onwards.
You could add Hans Tholstrup before him.
Not this bloke but.
That could be added to about 30% of recent topics couldn't it Russ ????
Adv riding, bush familiarity / survival seems to be more on topic than a few other recents...... Just saying'
Yeh I reckon so ...
Plenty of information there even if you only absorb some of it it may come in handy.
He has some good references to Bush Medicines as well.
His tv series back in the 80's were one of the best things the abc ever put on air imo. His short series on explorers aired in the mid 90's were so well researched, the one i could not get out of my mind was the lost Dutch "tribe" on the upper west coast prior to the First Fleet. Sadly the history revisionists that have stuck their heads up of late would likely hold back "our" abc airing quality viewing like this again. Re Rory O Donohughe, saw him at a funeral a few years ago, he looked fit as a fiddle but sadly died not that long after.
We did all this 5 years ago!!
It was one quote in a thread about the topic, not the sole topic of Harry Butler !!! Maybe I need to post some more mindless non bike relevant shit to get my count up.
If the lost Dutch tribe on the west coast is of interest to you, you may be interested in the work of this guy.
He went to my local High School, a few years in front of me.
In my sister’s year. Always carried a copy of Mao’s little Red Book.
Funny though, his Wikipedia entry mentions his interest in radical politics, but fails to mention the time he and a co conspirator planted a bomb in the Perth Dept.of Labour and National Service !
I remember the manhunt that went on for him. (They were identified early as the perpetrators)
A mate of mine was mistakenly detained on suspicion he was Rupert.
There use to be graffiti on the Claremont subway “Free Rupert Gerritson”
This mentions his bombing.
Agitates against Vietnam war.
Plants home made bomb
Later renounces violence.
Sounds like a well balanced bloke really. Just looked like a nut.
