    Hi,

Just been working and stuff like that, have not been doing much riding, still have the 650R and AT.
Been getting into boating and fishing a bit of late.

If you are having a look at a mates electric something put all the fuses and or breakers in your pocket before climbing through the manhole. Even if you swear him to guarding the 'box'.

Some powerstations that I worked at would have a body not found.
That is pretty easy to organise at sea, not that I'd advocate that.

Yep, joiners flicked on the breaker on the electrician wiring the oven at a house I was renovating.

Joiners were installing cabinets when they put a screw through a wire near power point so tripped the breaker, didn’t think that something could be wrong or bother to say anything so went out to the box and flicked ON everything that was OFF
We found out about the screw through the wire a couple of days later when a kettle was plugged into that power point and kept tripping the circuit.
I still have the wire with screw in it, you can see where the flash occurred.

Has happened before...and will happen again...

That's the advantage of old style fuses...they can be pulled out...

Just don't leave them in the box where someone can pop them back in.

Our 'Electrician' was re-wiring lights and fans, without throwing the circuit breakers.
Our Plumber walked into a room and said 'Why's it so fucking dark in here?' and hit the light switch, to much screaming.
The alleged Electrician made an official complaint to the boss, 'He tried to kill me".

As I said, I also have my own padlock to lock the box when I am in the roof.

A friend of mine got zapped while wiring a tastic for a mate, mates wife came home and the toaster didn't work, she as a practical person does goes out to the box and refits the fuse.
We both worked at powerstations but as I only rose to trades assistant there I knew stuff that his qualified arse didn't.

Decades ago, a mate stuck a screwdriver into the main board of the Old Penrith Leagues Club, after the power had been turned off, and on again.
His glasses meant he had two white circles in a very red face after that.
