Don’t like to say it but if that was a European rider he would have had a cry first.
    So proud of our Aussies.

Bermagui mate, just like a newy.

Your mates on the F5 thread understand that Troy?

Suppose he could have said "that's Mallacoota", just to make it harder.

Our boys are doing us proud.
Toby, well we have come to expect it from him. Stands tall for all Aussies. A great example of what we are, or should be, or used to be.
As for young Chucky. Riding smart, riding fast, navigating well, coping it on the chin(literally) and setting a great example and presenting well.

Is it to early to hope for two Aussies on the podium?
What a result that would be for that little continent down under.

    Go you good things.

A bit worried about Toby's progress just now - seems to have halted and Ricky & Sam have both stopped at the same location - fingers crossed all is ok...

he had sands and brab stopped with him for ages, and they both left him, so i wouldn't think they would leave him if he was seriously hurt

    10:11 Fall for Price

Toby Price crashed at km 155 and suffered a trauma to his left arm and shoulder. A blow for the Australian, who was only a big minute behind in the overall standings over Nacho Cornejo, who took control of the provisional standings at km 157.

Some says a diamonds... some days go to shit.

    So ironic after yesterdays effort.

A mechanical would be a bitter pill to swallow... Better than a medical!
    Hopefully TP is ok.

He swam with the Gods on the marathon stage and made shore!
    I hope for the best.

I tend to agree... the only good thing about COVID-19 during 2020 (*if by positive I mean that it prevented Toby - and others - from racing during the year) was that everyone of the top elite came to the start line in good condition, healed up fit and uninjured.
*oh... except for the unstoppable Laia of course... damn those ticks.

As far as Two Pies goes... the eight months off the bike (except for a fang around the farm hills for the cameras occassionally) - and some time to play with his CanAm SxS's - probably gave him the longest period he's had over the last six years or so - for that body of his to heal. So with a month or so in Dubai before the rally to sharpen up, the "year off" was probably a good thing - for him physically and mentally (chilled out).

The report mentions his left arm/shoulder as having trauma/injury. Now - those close to him - know what a tough gritty bugger Toby is... If Sam (his team mate, in contention for the win) and Ricky (his friend and still HRC rival - also in contention for the win) both stopped at the scene for @ 30 minutes or so... it wasn't just that TP had tore his jersey up a bit.

    10:37 Price airlifted to Tabuk
Toby Price has been taken to hospital in Tabuk for X-rays and has therefore been forced to exit the race prematurely due to his accident.

Kudos to Sam and Ricky... the "band of brothers" allegence that the top riders share is admirable... regardless of which colors they ride in - they all know that in instances like this, that their lives can lie in one another's hands... THEY are racers AND the first intervention medic team - all in one.

Toby's "hit list" ... a neck full of titanium... a leg bolted back together... a knee from before that... an arm broken as a kid SX prodigy... a wrist that was screwed together and won him a painful DAKAR... numerous other "bingles"... and now this hit...

Yep... as timeOday wrote... unfortunately - arthritis will catch up with Mr Natural one day... :(:

I hope that the big guy is okay... reassuring that he has received assistance from the medical team... the ASO chopper/air assistance if world class - no question.

Yes... I saw the youtube re-cap he did from Bowen... my point for the F5'ers on the RACING thread (most of who would have no clue as to what/where Don River is) is that Toby pretty much had the whole season dormant (compared to a normal year). He sure has a lot of shrapnel in him... as a docket for all of his successes... "the Price of War" could be a good Red Bull documentary in that title...? :1drink
