I was a contractor with post for 21years. They have a system where there is always someone else to blame! The bosses are paid bonus to screw contractors.the money they get is more than the workers would be happy with so wake up post. You pay peanuts you get monkeys, also post is a monumental buisness and you can not put brains in a monument! So when you see your postie be nice it is not his fault.
i get on good with the posties i have had [except 1 which only lasted a few months and got sacked ] he jumped it off a gutter and lost a heap of letters parcels 1 day thank heavens for honest people a lady knocking on doors delivering the items to households explaining why she was doing it after seeing him jumping i blame the sorting centres and there lack of some sort of system to gee stuff out just cant believe the different times it takes for deliveries fast for some --------months for others
Small parcel posted 6th Oct in my mail box 20th Oct from China. Small parcel posted 17th Sept not received yet from QLD.
Looks like he kept dragging it straddling the divider for a while. Good job must have tried really hard.
A mate of mine got a fuel tank delivered from India in around 10 days , I trust Aust post never got their hands on that item .
Ordered a battery from Batteries Direct a few days ah / Saturday night. Its in the bike tonight. The order forms could do with a polish on many sites. Perhaps that's why some stuff is in the air so long? Mates you think AP is off beat. We now have one guy running orders. I ordered 4.5mm swage crimps and eye thimbles three weeks ago. Yesterday I got thimbles for 8mm cables and 6mm swages.......FUCK. Thats an accountant doing a stormans job and fucking the shop up. Then he bought a hydraulic swage tool ....for electric cable that's single core like battery cables etc when Im making lifting gear and they wonder why I'm actively in negotiations for a job with a different company? Its not just AusPost that's full of fuckwits.
The company I work for are “restructuring”, they sacked our storeman. Surprise surprise it’s gone to shit, stuff getting sent via the wrong couriers to the wrong places and turning up the wrong part, all that shit. He also looked after cars, company is getting reamed with leases running over time. All my lifting gear is out of date, yep he used to arrange inspections/replacements, got a few major repairs I can’t do. Don’t sack the storeman.
and don't sack the admin officer who also runs the fleet, fire inspections, copier supplies, carpet cleaning..........
But when the useful get sacked, someone gets a bonus for making the operation more efficient as the workload is passed on to those that need the stuff done. When all the stuff that gets done seamlessly in the background doesn't get noticed, it can't be important, or hard to do.
Yes but the $700,000 they spent on office pot plants really pays off. i used to be able to look across from my apartment at their lovely big glass melbourne CBD head office, nice building, it was actually a very efficient place when I walked in their many times doing personal business
Heard the one about four watches? https://www.colliemail.com.au/story/6980133/australia-post-splurged-12000-on-watches/?cs=9676
Our business mail.... FIVE AND A HALF WEEKS for normal post to go from the Mornington peninsula to Wantirna, eastern suburbs. A touch over 4 weeks in, sent clients another copy of documents as we assumed the first lot had gone missing. Both turn up within 10 days of each other. In the order they were mailed. Aust post, you suck balls.
So all these apparently lowly employees actually do something important for the business huh, who knew.
Herd a guy on ABC talkback saying a lot of mail in Vic goes to Brisvagas to get sorted. Corona has buggered Vic mail sorting facilities. Social distancing on the conveyors is near on impossible.
