A selection of goods from Ali Express and Amazon, ex China/States, ordered last break and here within about 2 weeks or so, plus more bits out in the shed as well. No complaints here.
Yeah, there's a large Deutsch plug kit as well, I'm slowly changing out all the low rent connectors on my bikes and adding some properly built accessories harnesses for lights/USB's and so on. Makes for a tidier harness, build it once well, and then forget about it....
6 weeks and counting from China, took 5 weeks to get to Oz now I have to wait for the Aus Post compulsory delay. Think I will go back to buying locally
My friend's daughter ordered via Face Book a pair of Ugg Style boots. Ten weeks later her parcel arrived.... a pair of fake Ray Ban Aviators. Awesome.
Don't ever expect to get a certificate package from the IBA in the good old USA. And if it does turn up it will be full of typos and info from some other riders efforts. Australia post is one thing but the US postal system doesn't recognise Australia.
More stuff ex USA, ( middle of nowhere as well ) took exactly 10 days, a super lightweight Bivi bag and a weirdo set of crimpers, for work. Damn you Cummins and your strange wiring terminals.....
So I've just been done over by FEDEX got a new tent coming from the US with A few emails stating a delivery date Friday 27/11/2020 Yep no problem I'll have an RDO so I can be here all day to accept the package BUT no they tried to deliver Thursdays 26/11/2020 . First time Ive been disappointed off by some thing coming early .LOL
I have had things in the distant past come through USPS/Oz post ... about half (or sometimes 1/3rd) the speed of Royal Mail/Oz post .. but they did arrive. Possibly there is some effect of the present US 'Post Master General' that is stuffing things up? Present advice from a firm I'm getting things from is not to use USPS at the moment as deliveries take way too long at present, they will chose Fedex or UPS whichever is the cheapest for my goods - as I have used them before I'll trust their choice. Buying locally is not an option for some things.. sigh.
I ordered a Anker power port 21w portable solar panel from Brisbane on Thursday arvo. Arrived at my place Sunday morning. Packed size, not too large. Weight 400g edit. I tried charging my UE megaboom 0 to 100% in about an hour.
I have something similar Dan. Bought it years ago. No name brand. I’ve used it for phone charging when off the grid. Hiking and paddle trips.
I am a bit slow on the up take of modern technology. I bought the solar charger for those off grid adventures. Trying it out today. It charges the iPhone reasonably quickly. I bought it off Amazon for $80. Just checked the same website. Now they are asking $140. Must be a Black Friday sale thing. Where the price doubles.
F@#k Auspost. Bought stuff from CMSL in the Netherlands last Thursday and arrived here this morning. DHL was the carrier. Auspost couldn't do that if I sent a parcel to my next door neighbour via them. Bought an item from Webike on 1/10/20. Tracking shows it arrived in Sydney today ( courier from o/s was not Auspost ). I bet it will take another 8 weeks to get from Sydney to Adelaide as it's now showing Auspost tracking. F@#k Webike and again f@#k Auspost. Will never buy from Webike again. If I was a business I would never use Auspost. Note i'm having a go at Auspost NOT the posties who have to deliver Auspost shit service. My regular posties are fantastic people and are just as pissed off as we are. Rant over.
Can't believe the prices Oz post charge, send plastic fuel cap that fits in a small mailer within the state $10, seat 400km to Brisbane $70
Looks like I've been the lucky one ... Sent the shocks toowoomba to Melbourne Express post. There within 2 days Suspensions R Us did the deed and then sent them back Express 2 days No stress Kiwirich
