hhmmm, come to think of it I may have decided at the time to hang on to it just encase, which I will still do

i just went for the dampening material in behind the screen and some between GPS and speedo, keeps it still and dampened, but not rigid

Well, I’ve gotta say I am impressed.

I dropped a very small parcel off to the Post Office (basically Christmas card size with a lot of photo’s inside) and was told I had missed the drop off time limit to guarantee delivery to Germany before Christmas.
Tracking showed it arrived in Germany from WA in 10 days (what part of the country it didn’t say) and arrived at it’s destination, Bremen, the following day (last Friday)

My girl reckons all mail within Germany is still functioning normally, no weird, random delivery times like here in Australia.

Maybe they do a lot less online purchasing in Europe ?
I know from personal experience that their outdoor shops hold a lot more stock than ours have had for years.

Re online shopping in Germany: probably much more common than in Oz, but delivery through a multitude of different competing providers(often exploiting contractor drivers), which leaves the ex state monopoly postal system (equal to auspost) both on their toes and less congested.

I finally got a small parcel from an inmate in Victoria, it took around 3 weeks, otherwise OZ post has been pretty good.

Couriers on the other hand seem to get the item to Bega in good order, then it will sit for a week or more in some useless bastards depot, a mere 25 minutes away. I could walk there and back several times over, literally, before the useless theiving shits bother to deliver it.
