I've mailed a package to Western Australia with the USPS.

Estimated transit time = eight days. Should we wager on how long it might take?

I had a USPS posted parcel arrive Yesterday , only took 2 Months , but I am East Coast , West coast is 5000 km further from you @SFCootz , so at snail mail current travel rates 6 months is likely :rofl .

It's been delivered. However, I got confused. The package going to Leedsville was sent DHL. Still not arrived. The USPS package went to Sydney and was already delivered.

Your confused state may be the problem, there's no "Leedsville" in Western Australia...

At the risk of jinxing myself I've never had an issue with AP, touch wood.
Sent last Friday from SA to QLD standard post, arrived today.
As you can see it's a reasonable size package too.

Your local PO people must still do their own sorting. At our local POs (two of 'em in town) there are two posting boxes, one for mail to Albany addresses and the other for all else. The trouble is a couple of years ago they announced that, in the aim of improved efficiency, all mail posted in Albany now goes to Perth (400kms away) for sorting & then the local stuff comes back on the next truck. So local mail takes an extra day now, brilliant planning.

Ordered a battery charger from shop 15km away. That was 11 July.
If only I was still waiting.... because Australia Post tracking system somewhere/somehow lost it
"We have monitored our systems for your parcel and it does not appear to have received any recent scan events. To help us resolve this as quickly as possible, we recommend that you contact the sender and ask them to get in touch with us. They will need to quote your reference number and provide further information for this parcel."

I hope the bastards don't flog the parcel side of it off to some cronies. I'm liking the way it works currently

Mrs got a note today from a company she subscribes to saying that Australia Post delays are being caused because several AP distribution centres are closed due to Covid infections

Think that's what's happened to my parcel. Been stuck in a SW Sydney sorting depot for a week going nowhere.
