I received a parcel today (Friday) , it was sent express post from Brisbane on Monday and I am in Newcastle , about 700 km away . Not the worst time frame I have had , but not great either considering the cost of express post for a parcel .

Not when you have 500 staff isolating due to covid... and the busiest month ever
Australia Post said August was its busiest month on record.... the graph below shows the growth rate... huge. I'd expect similar things around the world.

    It has arrived.
Ordered on the 15 July from the US, arrived in Brisbane on the 20 August, finally arrived in the mail today.
Skene Design is pretty good to deal with, sent me emails regarding the delay.:thumb

Finally arrived. The Auspost resolution service seemed more about ticking some boxes and closing the case despite failure of the service.

The seller/sender needed regular prompting to help out as Auspost kept referring me back to him. He had his money and I doubt he gave a shit. He tells me that Auspost told him it was delivered to Bunnings, which they had already told me. They told him to ring Bunnings, he told them it was their task. Nobody told me again at this stage. Disinterest eveywhere. :becca

Once this was confirmed again and no one seemed interested in follow up, I rang Bunnings directly. Lucky me got just the right person who confirmed in 5 minutes that they had it. After a short chat to establish the next step, she said she would personally post it for me...which she did. She rang back a little later and told me it was on the way. Excellent service.

Apparently the barcode came up Gladesville Bunnings. The address was my place in Vic. What a cock up
    .:eekers
Thanks customer service girl at Bunnings. :beer

I have a set of Rocket Sprockets coming from Lennie to Nevada USA

The Australia Post tracking notifications stopped updating at the Melbourne airport on Monday morning (13 Sep) 9:05am

Is it typical for the status updates to stop at Australia for international air mail shipments?
That's five days with no tracking.

    Anyone know?

Well I've been waiting 4 weeks (ordered 27/8) for a single spark plug bought online via Supercheap and apparently sent on the 3/9 according to Supercheap but according to Aus Post it was received on 15/9, with no further updates. Regardless, 4 weeks for a small parcel is ridiculous. I'm also waiting for some car bits I ordered from the US on 18/8 that arrived in Aus on 10/9. I'm expecting that one day they'll turn up.

It has now passed the 3 month mark since a parcel was posted to me from the USA , which I still have not received :twitch . I contacted the seller and they are going to chase up it's where abouts from their end . They have sent another parcel containing replacement parts according to my most recent email from them , it will be interesting to see how this parcel fares with the Pacific ocean swim :dunno :pynd.

Its pretty weird.. most of my stuff is coming through ok, but if something is accidentally misplaced, it seems to end up at the bottom of the pile again..

This parcel was from the far flung reaches of the Gold Coast.

    "I've been everywhere, man"
I've been to the Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne, Sydney, SW Sydney, Sydney, SW Sydney...

Is it getting closer to me? Who knows..

^ That just shows how broken their system is @Rocking Horse . You have the item in Tas and their system says it is 2000 km away in Nthn NSW , go figure :scratch .
