    Day 1
Well day 1 of the coast to coast ride started at 2.30am to catch the 7.15 flight to Perth. With a slight delay due to fog I was soon on my way in my first ever flight. Arrived at Perth were I caught a uber to meet up with my bike. Gear packed and on the road by 12.30 to negotiate my way through Perth to the start of the Indian Ocean highway where I got the black top to Cervantes for the night where I paid $43 for a non powered camp sight. But hey I have a heated pool [IMG]... To tired to care I just set up camp. Plenty of free camping along the way to make up for it. Plan of attack is to continue to slab it up to hemline pools where I'll stay stay a couple of nights to get out to steep point.

    Day 2
502km of arse numbing tar... The day started at 7.30 after catching up on sleep the day before. Fresh and ready I hit the road for jurian bay where I had the first pie of the trip. After jurian it was black top all the way to Geraldton where I stopped for lunch. I was pretty surprised at how green and lush the west coast has been so far, it been great scenery along the way. After Geraldton I hit the road to the overlander Roadhouse where I will be staying for the next couple of nights while I make my way out to steep point tomorrow. The last day and a half have been pretty boring being mostly tar but the off-road will start tomorrow. Let's see if I can remember how to ride sand again [IMG]

    Day 3
Well today I was the western most bike in Australia (and naked man). I was up reasonably early with a 8.00 start. I strapped on 10l extra fuel and headed down shark bay road to the useless loop road turn off towards steep point. After about 50km of skating all over the road and generally regretting my decision to ride across Australia I remembered that I was still on road pressures. Once the tyres were deflated down to 10psi the regret had disappeared and I was comfortable again. After about 100km of clay capped road the conditions deteriorated pretty quickly to extremely corrugated sandy road for the remainder to steep point. With only really 2 dunes that were pretty deep sand the rest of the road was pretty easy. After some pics and lunch at steep point I headed back to the overlander where I'm staying again tonight before I head out to Denham and do some exploring around there. ...... Also pun intended [IMG]

    Day 4
Pretty short day today. Got to Denham at about 10.30 had a early lunch and than got stuck into fixing the USB charger. For some reason the one I wired on before I left packed it in. Managed to find what I needed at Denham and got stuck into it. Finished that than made my way out to big lagoon in Francis Peron NP. Awesome spot out here and can really see the $$ you spend on camping in a no put to use.

    Day 5 ...
Holly fuck what a big day this was. To start the day it pretty much rained a night at big lagoon where I stayed last night. I thought, nah this rain won't be inland. Oh how wrong I was. 700km of of a cold wet slippery slop fest. To make things worse I miss calculated the distance between the overlander and meekathara. Turns out I needed double what I had. Luckily I was able to pull into a station and refill my tanks plus a 5l fuel bladder. Finally made my way into meekathara (with the fuel light on) and made a b line for the nearest motel and had the best hot shower I've ever had. Plan for tomorrow? Well I need to Sus out how far inland this rain has been as I don't want to do what I did today.
