We reached Devenport early morning and decided to ride straight to the nearest "supercheap auto" to get some products to fix the radiator, I inspect once again but no leak, the radiator was fine, same for the water pump. So we played it safe and bought some "paste" and other dodgy products in case... Then we went down to Queenstown, The rain quickly disappear and we quickly enjoy the perfect riding condition and awesome scenery. And WOW, I can tell you that Tasmania is a jewel... Lush landscape, not many ppl on the road, twisties everywhere... Sunny day.. Cannot be any better! Badass bikes isn't it ? Had a quick chat with some locals... Back on the tarmac We stopped somewhere near a dam for a quick lunch & nap Scenery were absolutely amazing! The small town of Queenstown, gotta love thoses old Aussies houses! Rewarded by a nice sunset And both bikes were working great!
The next day, We did a few check around the bikes, oil level, tyre pressure, inspect again the GS, which hasn't been leaking since.. When everything was fine we dropped the luggage and enjoy a riding day without luggages! Afterwards, we head towards Wynyard as we found another Couchsurfing host. Roads were truly amazing... Check this out! Obviously went full gas for 30kms! We also went for some beach riding near Strahan. First time! So much fun .. I had left the SV at the nearest petrol station and we went 2 up on the GS for some sand fun! had lunch there... And give the GS a good clear water clean afterwards.. On the way towards the north of the island, Our hosts were, once again, marvelous. We cooked dinner for them, seafood pasta ? if I remember well, and a few bears a great chat... and went to sleep!
This is what happen when you play too much in the sand We then rode back up to the nothern part of the island towards Table Cape and Stanley. Absolute stunning scenery and we were - again - lucky with the weather! Stanley Houses does looks amazing in this little town. Out of time! perfect house ? We had a really good time on the north coast, low traffic, not too much tourists. A real bliss.. Again the bikes were working great! We went 2 up on the GS650 as we were expecting to do some off road towards Woolnorth NorthWest side, unfortunately it was all fenced up and we couldn't enter.
