    Good day guys,

I have just completed a 10 day desert adventure through some of Australia's amazing deserts on my KTM 690 Enduro R. I did this ride with a couple of mates, 1 riding a KTM 1190 Adv R and the other on a Yamaha WR250R.

3 completely different style of bikes however they all shined at one stage or another. It just goes to show that it doesn't matter what kind of bike you have large or small, with just a little bit of adventurising you can turn it into a very capable bike.

It was around 4000km round trip across dirt, gravel and sand. This time in Australia was very dry so there wasn't a water crossing insight. We entered prohibited military land, cross cattle stations the size of small countries and help the farmers out along the way. I had some clutch trouble which was repaired on the ride, the WR250R had some side stand issues and we had the usual flat tyre dramas but over all the the bikes went well. We all carried additional fuel as we had legs of over 500km across deep sand. The 3 bikes used very similar amounts of fuel for such different bikes.

We carried all camping and cooking gear as we camped every night except one where we were offered a bed. Now that I look back on the trip, I carried way too much gear and could get away with only half the gear I took.

I filmed the entire trip and have now posted it to youtube. This is a ride report of difference, one you sit back, relax and watch.

Part 1 on youtube now. Hope you enjoy and see on the trails.

    Regards, Craig

Looks to be a great ride and an adventure into lonely tracks. Wish I was there on my Triumph Tiger, but I'd certainly need better rubber!

Part 4 just completed and uploaded to youtube guys.

This episode takes us from the Googs Lake and onto the Googs Track. The track is full of deep sand and 10 to 15m sand dunes. Its full of drama from some lost gear, smashed screens and fuel bladders getting chewed however it finishes with a great climb up Mount Finke to catch the sunset.

    Hope you guys enjoy...
