The Wankers are no longer wanted by TSA for stealing that case of wine from the club car the last time we rode the Autotrain so who would be up for a Hooligan ride on the BRP? or not there are so many options
My son and I are talking about taking the airhead and Vee2 sometime this summer.

The only plan so far is take some vacation, put some bikes on the Autotrain some time, not get too drunk to ride once we get to Lorton, and ride some where before heading south. Someone should do a poll.
There are so many possibilities. My son on the R80 is going to have to stick to asphalt.
Could time it to hit RDV. Wankers went July 4th. Last time I went in Sept and froze in the rain in Va.

What's the rough cost for 1 ticket and a bike, just out of curiosity?

Since Orlando is the wrong direction I think I'd be more likely go up to Asheville and hit it from that side given the amount of time the train takes, but that is a really interesting way to access to North side.

Quoting Wanker Autotrain veteran Brewman "Train drops us in Lorton, Virginia. We meander back, with no particular destination or route, hitting the Blue Ridge Parkway, Skyline drive, the dragon, etc....we eat when we are hungry, sleep when we are tired. Then dead head back when required. Last one was a hoot as long as JA doesn't get us thrown off the train and nobody projectile vomits broadside in the club car....two up friendly. Who's in ?

You should add in the Skyline Drive. I did that whole ride 2 years ago. FYI, remember that things along the Parkway don't open up until later in May. Check the dates if that matters to you. I was there in May and everything was about a week out from opening. Maybry Mill was open though. Mmmm, breakfast.

Skyline drive $10 and 35mph. There are so many other routes that once you have done BRP and Skyline it more fun to avoid the tourists in the RV goin 25 mph.

we did it in 2012, left Lorton Sunday am after they offloaded us, took our time coming back, would find a room around 5:00pm every night, made it back to central Florida Saturday afternoon. did the dragon, skyline drive, ate the best pizza at Jonny B's in dahlonega, I recommend plan a week to do it, we rode only back roads.Rick
