Was messing around with the idea of mounting an extra fuel source on my bike and was wondering if there is an easy way to plum it into the factory fuel system... (I'll be honest, haven't even started researching this yet... just throwing it out there to the collective to see what sticks.)

    Thanks though,

There's a drain on the pump assembly. I've heard of people putting a fitting there and running their aux tank right into the drain from higher up on the bike.

I highly recommend you do this modification to your bike. I added about 3.5 gallons to my bike, I did not add more capacity due to the weight and how high and rear ward it was on the bike. I was normally running 300 miles to a tank(s)

Shut off valve, Mine was an easy reach behind, I would wait till my low fuel lamp came on then reach back and flip the lever

How the package looked on the bike

I was thinking of a Jegs 4 gal drag fuel cell and put it on the passenger pillion. I have the factory top box and don't want to get rid of it. Nice setup though!

Placing the aux fuel over the pillion position is much better for weight distribution, just be sure when you mount it, that it is secure.

Should you get involved in any kind of mishap, you do not want it coming loose.
