    B.C.BIG TRAILIE RIDE 3
    JUNE 20-21-22 2008

The first days route of this years ride is all new. Days 2 & 3 are made up of some of our favorite roads from the past two years.

As in the two previous Big Trailie rides, the route is ideal for the Big Dual Sports. The roads are generally easy but scenic gravel, and paved twisty back roads.

    Friday June 20th

Leaving Merritt, we head to the Douglas Lake Ranch, Westwold, Falkland and take the back road to Chase for a lunch stop. After lunch, we climb up the back side of Tod Mountain to Sun Peaks Ski Area. Then down the mountian on twisty pavement. A series of back roads takes us back to Merritt and stay at the Super 8 Motel. Saturday June 21st

To Brookmere via the Kane Valley Road and onto Princeton for lunch. After lunch, we tackle the Nickle Plate Rd. and through to Apex Ski Area. Down the "Goat Trail" and into Keremeos to stay at the Elks Motel Phone # 888 499 7773. Talk to Fred. Some rooms have been reserved under the Big Trailie Ride. If the Elks is full, try the Alpine Inn Motel Phone # 1-877-499-5244.

    Sunday June 22nd

An early morning ride through to Penticton on some very fun roads, then to Summerland and the back way to Princeton for our final lunch stop before heading off to home.

Thanks for the planning Ross. :clap
Another classic route through some of BC's finest touring areas.

For riders familiar with the region, you know what to expect. For first timers, to the area, prepare for some of the best riding anywhere.

I'll add a few photos to back up my statement. :D

Rob - I'm considering doing this ride with my Tiger... from the reports of the previous years events it looks like a blast. I won't know for certain if I can get the time off until mid-March. If I do it, I will ride from Calgary to Merritt on the Friday, do days 2 & 3 with the group, then make my way home on Monday.

I'll likely be blasting outta here on the Thursday morning. I'll see who else is going. I'd like to do the whole ride. If I get no other bites I'll keep you in mind. At the least we can travel back together. My SO always feels better when I travel with another rider or 2.

Hopefully the Goat Trail hasn't fallen into the creek. It was pretty washed out last year.

    Manxman,

Been waiting to here about this year's ride since the last one ended. Sounds like another great ride, and I'll be doing everything I can to make this years BC BTR3!

I'll probably be coming up from the Portland, OR area to make this one.

So it sounds like Merritt for Thursday and Friday nights, and Keremeos for Saturday.

Thanks to you and dr650bc for the organization of the event! :thumb
