I'll be there, 100%. Did you say ghost ! :eek1
Yeah, I have this little 1 gallon jerry can I usually bring with me on bush rides, effectively doubles my range. It's cruising speed and getting the bike up there that I have doubts about as well, My XT is not a highway bike by any means, I'd need a support truck following me... I've also got to consider taking clothes and such with me... I think I'll be looking into getting a KLR or Dakar 650. Iwas looking at a few nice Dakars anyways
I am betting nobody would "wait" for you to get up to speed. Almost all of the guys on this site are dicks! And yeah your XT is too slow, too underpowered, doesn't have the space to carry clothes, etc... sure it does / whatever! Hey you don't need to justify to us fellow inmates about the "reasons" for buying another bike!!! (Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, know what I mean! ) I'd buy another bike for sure! Can't take any chances!
I've got my eyes on a DR650, I found some nice bag/rack combos.
If I'm in the province you can count me in.
My XT isn't too small for this is it?
Is that what you're calling your dick now?!!:eek1
Har har, Très drole sis =P
But I think this could be something Torch could do... With a little well planned packing... And another cylinder... and a change to a BMW >;3
How about a kick to the head, and a hole for her corpse? Poor girl deserves a better death. Like a nice jump into a deep mudhole.
I think there is supposed to be a one or two day 'Adventure' riding clinic before this event.
I'll keep planning it that way.
(Where is that thread?)
I'm up for that anytime sis =3
The 650 has been chosen for this one, got the "OK" from the current owner (Dad lol) Just ned 70/30 tires and wider handle bars >:3
Thanks Ross, I'll be booking the time off tomorrow.
That the way I remember it too. I've been trying to make it to one of the BCBTR for a few years now and the timing never works. This year I really want to go to get the added Adventure riding clinic. But the new baby will only be 1 month old, so I'm not sure I'll be venturing that far from home for that long. We'll see.
Also curious about this off road riding clinic.......
I think after enduring Logan Lake in the rain during the night this year I may have to avail myself to the more bourgeoise accomodation wherever that may be next year.
yes, yes... me too! definately into the clinic, & perhaps a accomidations without rain..
Maps, info and sign up list is up on the first post.
If you want to be added to the Going/Probably Going List, let me know and I'll add your name.
I didn't see my name on the going, going, going problem list.
Depending on the number of people that want the clinic, I'll need either one full day (which will leave some tired bodies) or two 3/4 days prior to the BCBTR ride.
I'm going to plan on coming up early and meet with the planners to scout out the training area, make reservations and then all ride over to the BCBTR start locality the evening before.
There are no plans by me, to run any training during the ride, but would be available to answer quick questions and then ride, ride, ride...
Well done Ross. Looks like a great 3 days......the paved length from New Denver to Kaslo is nice twisty trip but if it's wet look out for the two wooden inserts on the road that are at the beginning of short curves. A rider went down this summer at the BC Beemer rally when he didn't straighten up in time.....:eek1
Is it June yet????
