This year the BCBTR ventures for the first time into the Cariboo Chilcotin region. The gathering and departure point for day 1 is the parking lot of the Cariboo Lodge in Clinton. The route goes north past the Gang Ranch and through the incredible Farwell Canyon on the way to Williams Lake. After a lunch/fuel stop, we head east to Horsefly, south to 100 Mile House and stay at the Ramada Inn. An unlikely combination of roads make up the route for day 2 and is one of my favorites ever used on BCBTR. East on Horse Lake Road and Hwy 24, turning off onto the excellent Eakin Creek Rd and across the North Thompson River on a small reaction ferry at Little Fort. South to Barriere, along Adams Lake, through the Paxton Valley and The Douglas Lake Ranch. Arriving into Merritt on the gnarly Old Nicola Cut-Off Road. The Super 8 serves as the official ride motel and location for the BBQ and other festivities. Day 3 will be familiar with BCBTR veterans. It allows you to follow the road route or join onto parts of the KVR on the way to Princeton where we say goodbye after lunch. As usual, the BCBTR is open to all sizes of Trailie Bikes. Saturday Night BBQ and other Festivities Information I was unable to get the same level of donations as last year due to the tougher economy. Rather than miss out on the Saturday Night Festivities, there will be a small charge to cover the costs. The cost per person is $15, which includes a BBQ chicken dinner with all the fixins, plus water, pop, coffee and dessert. Also included are event decals and a chance to win 1 of 20 prizes in the raffle. Along with the other raffle items, this year's grand prize is the "Ultimate Adventurer Video Camera", a GoPro H.D. 1080 Hero. No prepayment is necessary. I will collect the $15 on Friday morning in Clinton when the route sheets are handed out.

No excuses this time .. now for the seven month wait ! Look forward to meeting you guys ('n gals). Sunny and dry, eh ? Logan
I am drooling... since I missed this past year's ride due to the birth or our daughter, I will have to pencil this one in... fortunately, it looks like my teaching finishes a few days prior to these dates! Now I gotta make sure the wife is OK... I would love to finish up on the KVR, Grey Creek Pass(if it is still open?) and then decide between Settler's Road (heading north) or through the Crowsnest (heading east) on the way back home to Calgary... maybe a week for the whole trip will suffice (arrive home Wed June 22?)
I'm in. Number two for me - never had a better time. Anybody need a roomy - I don't snore (too much).
Good one however I spy ManxMan's previous ride (1150GSA mit Odyssey Bags) in that photo. A bike photo I'm sure Kootenay Kid will recognize..... :
3 of us GSers did part of this ride last year going to Bella Coola. Awesome stuff with good weather. Will confir with Canadane, who attended BCBTR 5. Looks like we'll both be in as long as you young fellers can wait up for a couple of retired white haired guys.
