The Vision had a little over 66,000 miles. Never a problem or breakdown.

When you're in Inuvik remember to pick up your certificate at the visitors center. :-)

Just finished this RR. Very nice photos and write-up.

Props to you, brother! I had a blast doing this on my 990; your bike must've been a wee more unwieldy.

    Kudos!

A quick question. Seeing as you have a pretty sweet bike, did you ever really worry about scuffing up your nice bike?

No concerns about dirtying up that purty Vicyory?

Yes!! I trusted the Vision tip over protection but was expecting damage on the ride to Prudhoe Bay and Inuvik. The Vision survived the rides without a scratch, just had some stone chips on the lower fork legs. It did need a lot of cleaning.

I did have to replace some body panels and the front fender after hitting a deer last year -

The southern part of the Dalton Highway, heading north. Fun ride, no dust.

A stop at the Arctic Circle sign.

What did your drive belt and pulleys look like after driving through the muddy roads? Do you carry a spare belt?

Nice ride report. Great pictures they brought back a lot of nice memories of my trips north. Inuvik is a very special place to ride to and your ride was more difficult because of your motorcycle choice, although I did like the images of knobbies on a Victory.

Thanks for taking the time to document the trip so well

After a good cleaning when I got home there were no issues with the belt or pulleys. I did use a power washer to clean them 3 times during the trip.
I do carry a spare belt on all the rides that have gravel, have not needed it.

I had made a full length lower belt guard. I think it helped.
