I checked the IBA ride list and two riders have completed this ride; the Canada North South Challenge.
Now someone will have a chance to add Tuktoyaktuk.

The next road is planned to go from Wrigley NWT to Fort Good Hope NWT apparently, currently only an ice road going up there.

I’ve long dreamt of a road from Wrigley to Arctic Red River (Tsiigehtchic). That would make an epic loop, with a 350 mile (round trip) out-n-back to Tuk. It’s only about 200 miles from Fort Good Hope to Arctic Red River. It’ll happen before I’m too old to ride it, won’t it?

That would be a cool loop for sure. I guess you could canoe it until the road is built. ;)

I wish you all the best and hope issues stabilize for you. Your last comment is discussed more and more as my birthday count increases. I am grateful for every mile enjoyed over my 50+ years of riding and being retired knowing I am in my "Fall" season of my riding capabilities is ever present. I have a few close "older" long time riding friends that always had excuses at the 11th hour for great planned trips and now their window of opportunity is closed, truly their loss and they regret not enjoying all too many of these opportunities.

Anyway, I have thoroughly enjoyed all your shared adventures and hope for the changes to allow you many more!

    Cheers

I’m about to turn six oh and will be making an attempt to knock off a bucket list item by riding my DR to Tuk this year.

Although i’ve had an assortment of beater bikes throughout my life, the DR was the first really capable, street legal bike i’ve owned, which i got when i turned 55. I’d been wanting a bike like this for years, but what really pushed me to get it was when my cousin (who rides a bmw k1200 i think) said to me “ so, how old do you want to be when you make this dream come true?”

I’ve followed your adventures for years now. Your posts inspired me for several trips to CO and Utah (from South Carolina). I learned just how far a cruiser bike can go, appropriately equipped. I wish nothing but the best for you and your wife.

No rollin' this year. Do the rides when you can, you never know what will happen later.

Wow, can't believed you wrestled that behemoth, and a beautiful looking bike, on those slippery muddy roads. Loved the pictures and write up. Found this from another link to another report you have. I will get reading that eventually. Thanks for sharing your ride.
